The Bankes Arms Hotel Restaurant in Purbeck

The staff were absolutely fantastic. The location is beautiful, offering old England at it's finest. I would recommend to to anyone looking for an authentic historical experience to stay at the Bankses Arms.

We had a lovely meal burgers amazing. Puddings exceptional. The fish was fresh and very tasty. Highly recommended.

Popped in for a few drinks with my son. Very warm welcoming place with great staff. The 2 Emma’s in particular were very friendly and made me and my son feel welcome. 10 out of 10 from us, will definitely pop in again.

Service was a bit patchy but on the whole good and everyone was really friendly. The sandwiches were excellent and very reasonably priced for the area

Nice local pub with a good beer garden and good choice of beers and lager. Enjoyed our visit this afternoon.

First visit and we found it cosy with a log fire. Good selection of ales if you just fancy a drink. We had main courses and thought they were well presented and tasted lovely. Definitely worth trying 👌

We ate in the pub for lunch today and it was outstanding. All our meals were delicious (one member of our party said it was the best chips they've ever had!) and the service was over and above (including a great highchair and a proper baby changing bathroom with nappies included!). Really cosy atmosphere and all round great pub :)

We recently held our wedding at the Bankes Arms and it was everything we could have hoped for.Of course, the venue is absolutely amazing with a wonderful view of the castle and it's perfect to watch the steam trains go by. But more than that, George and the whole team at the Bankes Arms were absolutely phenomenal. The food was amazing, the service was friendly and quick, and it was an absolute pleasure to speak and deal with everyone there. Everyone made sure that we and our guests had everything we needed and George was incredibly helpful in the run up to the day and organising everything.I would highly recommend the Bankes Arms for any events and just for a visit to have a wonderful meal there or stay in a lovely part of the world.The Bankes Arms gave us the most special day we could have asked for. Thank you!

This has to be one of the best pubs I have ever eaten in. Their Sunday roast was just amazing and beautifully presented. I had the roast belly pork and it just melted in my mouth. The staff are always very friendly and attentive and the pub decor makes it a pleasure to be in. If I want to impress any of my friends and family when they visit us, this it the pub I take them to.

We visited the Banked Arms for dinner on our last evening in Corfe. Service was excellent. My husband said that the steak burger was one of the best he has had. Creme brulee fir desert was fantastic. If visiting the area again will definitely dine here again.
