Busy with children from the nearby campsite (expected) but reasonable beer. Didnt try the food as the menu didnt really appeal. Kids would love it though.

Great muddy boot, dog friendly place. Staff are super friendly. Food is exquisite. I had the ribs, they fell off the bone and my husband had the hunters chicken, very nice. We shared the brownie fudge cake, we found it enough for the both of us. Enjoyed two games of pool in-between meals. Nice atmosphere, lovely outside area.

Sunday lunch carvery. Choice of 3 meats; beef, turkey; gammon plus main menu to choose from. Very pleasant atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Had a brilliant stay at this lovely inn. Staff were very friendly. The food was delicious! Excellent location to whizz into Lulworth and a very modern, clean & spacious room.Booking was very easy & my emails dealt with efficiently. Plus they allow dogs! Highly recommend

Visited from Hamworthy today for a last Minute lunch, so glad we did the carvery was out if this world. Absolutely beautiful food, lovely staff and stunning Inn. Will definitely be coming back.

Very good carvery with 3 meats, as a hungry 30 year old, I struggled to finish the "large" so be warned! Great meat and vegetables, with very friendly bar-staff. Would recommend.

We booked the festive lunch for the 1st December. The pub is very tastefully decorated and we were very comfortable and warm. The food was excellent, very, very generous portions, we weren't rushed, the service was attentive so I thoroughly recommend this venue

Nice country pub building with comfortable decor (the stars are for the surroundings) - totally marred by very slow service and a manager who wouldn't know customer service if it bit him on the nose! 2 hour wait for very average food, everyones food in the party came at different times, no apology was given, we were treated like we were a nuisance and they were doing us a favour. Junior waiting staff tried their best but were getting no support from management.

We have been to The countryman several times over the last few weeks as we are having a new kitchen fitted. We have had excellent service and excellent meals on the four occasions we have eaten here. The staff are very attentive and the food is lovely. We have been early in the week and then for Sunday Carvery. The carvery is amazing and excellent value for money! We have decided to bring our staff team here for our Christmas outing and I know we won’t be disappointed!
