Nice welcoming place. Very friendly staff Steak and kidney pie had very little meat wasn't worth £16 Skate wings were very tasty although served with lots of melted butter on plate

Had a roast today having eaten there before this was poor. Yorkshire pudding soft gravy very watery and clear. Roast potatoes tickled not roast. When asked if all ok the above explained I was told kitchen will be told. I would save your money.

Food is ok and it’s a-bit pricey for it is. Not much veg and no vegan burger option if you are vegan. Meat burger is good I would say.Served fairy quickly fairly friendly staff.Tap water is as expected and comes with lemon and ice options.Beer garden is nice and plenty of parking

Really helpful Scottish chap served us. We hadn't booked but he got us a table straight away. Drink and food orders taken really quick which was perfect. Food was served really fast as well. Good selection on the menu for adults and kids. When the food came it was perfect portion sizes. Nice atmosphere, great play area and seating outside as well. All in all 10/10

Today we stopped by, looking for a Sunday roast- the manager did her best to find us a table although it was very busy. The roast beef was pink and tender- just as I love it. Veggies were cooked well and potatoes were delicious. Highly recommend the food. Could do with the “social distance “ stickers being removed from the floor, but otherwise a good visit.

Had lunch with my mother and her dog today. The manager was very accommodating when I informed him that I needed to sit away from other people and next to an open window as I am immunosuppressed, (lung disease). We had a lovely meal - fish & chips, steak & mash with veg (the pasty was delicious), apple crumble & custard. It was very busy but the staff were brilliant. We shall return!

Service was excellent and staff made you feel very welcome. They only had a small menu available when we visited due to having a power cut for 3 days before our visit but what they had was excellent. Will go back to sample the full menu in the future.

Booked sat night 26th feb to eat and stay over with our campervan as they offer Pub stopovers. Very friendly and helpful staff, lovely pub very cosy with log fires etc. Food was good honest pub grub and good value, served quickly and piping hot. Staff very good indeed. Camped in good gravelled parking and slept well. No rush to leave next morning. Would definitely recommend this as a good pub stopover!! 9/10.

First time eating here! Lovely place and great food. The staff is friendly and make you feel at ease! Recommended! Their Sunday roast is great!

EXCELLENT! Prices are very good for what you get and quality is great! The staff are exceptional and very attentive. The food is delish definitely recommend coming here 😊
