Today has been the worst experience at the pig for us…. The service in general was v poor, we had to wait 1 hour 30 for our main meal with no communication, and when the food came Luke warm and massively under cooked, the chef should be sacked luckily we was not charged…. Sadly we will not be rushing back … the management should be ashamed especially when you are charging premium prices but delivering Such poor customer services and food quality.

We experienced fine dining at it best. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and help full. Very disappointed that we paid £73 for wine that when looked up cost £12 retail. It put a dampener on a birthday treat 😕

Went for dinner and had a decent if not great meal. We'd been to another pig hotel previously (few years back) and been very impressed. This time the service was not so good with staff not fully acquainted with the menu. We had a good but relatively expensive meal. The sommelier was pretty condescending when we weren't interested in paying over £40 for our wine.It feels like the people behind the pig are focusing more on growing than making sure they retain their previous high standards.

We had dinner here. Its always busy and has a great atmosphere with staff that really look after your every need. The best starter in the menu is the portland crab bake...tasted amazing. The onion tart, not so good, the onion was still crunchy and it lacked flavour. Mains were a lamb chop, tasty but a but dry and the Ox liver. The liver tasted great but the sauce had a touch too much acidity. Deserts, blood orange sorbet, absolutely delicious, and a almond tart, very tasty.So....Good food, but you need to choose carefully from the menu, some dishes are not as good as others. I suppose given its name, the menu is also very pork and meat in general focused, so quite heavy.

A stunning location but sadly the food did not live up to expectations.Recently spent two nights here. The room and all the hotel facilities were excellent and we could not fault. Diner however was disappointing with an unambitious menu and sadly average quality. A good choice at breakfast but again average quality if you chose the cooked options .

Excellent food, superb service! Visited today for lunch. Supreme quality in everything we had: sourdough and foccacia, house red and rose, mushroom risotto balls, parsnip soup, pork and bacon terrine, the gammon collar main, and creme brulee and berry cobbler deserts. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff was lovely and helpful, also still wearing masks, which we really appreciated.Food at the Pig is always a culinary experience, we love the care that goes into each dish. Thank you.

Situated on the edge of Poole Bay, the restaurant has fantastic views across the bay to Poole, Bournemouth and beyond. The food is excellent. Above average prices, but you certainly do get what you pay for and lunchtime deals are sometimes available. The decor is very well done "shabby chic" and the service we have always found to be friendly and efficient. Every time we have been, the restaurant has been enormously busy so well worth pre-booking. The Pig is also very well positioned to explore the lovely Studland coast and countryside nearby.

I was very upset and disappointed about how the restaurant dealt with me and my partner and our food poisoning complaint. I’m vegetarian and he eats meat.We visited for lunch and had not eaten anything that day before arriving. We had spent the days before visiting my family in the area and had all eaten the same meals and no one had symptoms of food poisoning. We had 3 courses and some drinks so must have spent a good amount of money. Afterwards we drove back to London. As soon as we arrived back I sick for most of the evening and during the night and was unable to go to work the next day. My partner was sick once, so I assumed the food that was off was the vegetarian dishes I was eating and he had a few bits of.I got in contact with the restaurant the following day. They asked us to complete a food diary, which clearly indicated the issue was from the restaurant. However because we had not validated a sample with a doctor they could not deem it as food poisoning. Most GPs are still operating phone call appointments because of Covid-19 and not seeing patients face to face so I’m unsure how I was meant to send them a sample for them to test.I was very disappointed and would never visit this place again.

This was my first time at 'The pig on the beach' and I have to say it lives up to my expectations. They have an unusual, seasonal menu, so many things sounding delicious it was hard to choose! I think my favourite was the jerusalem artichokes, a close second being the chocolate mousse. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the place had a lovely relaxed, warm vibe. We were never made to feel rushed even as the lunch crowd started to fill in and they have some lovely cozy areas to finish your meal with a cup of tea or coffee. I would definitely recommend!

We went for our wedding anniversary and had a lovely time. We got special biscuits at the end in a pig shape with happy anniversary written on it. It was a lovely gesture.Good food! Down side to this place is the dinning room was really dark. Maybe it was for an ambiance effect but it did hist my eyes after a while. Other than that it was great.
