Arrived on a warm spring Sunday day for a roast only to see a sign saying you needed to pre book and if you had booked, you were only eat it indoors. What....... I only went for the garden! Why would I want to sit inside. Strangely other food was ok to eat outside though 🤦🏻Whoever thought that up doesn't have a clue if I'm going to be totally honest.Only went for the view so won't bother again.

Lovely pub with an amazing view from the garden of Corfe Castle across the valley. Don't worry if the car park is full, there's a free car park just up the road. Stopped for lunch today after a walk and although they were busy, it was a beautiful sunny day, the staff were welcoming and helpful. Very sensible sign on the bar stating the wait time for food. We were happy to wait. I had a great steak and ale pie with proper hot crust pastry. Delicious filling too. We were hoping to have room for a lovely pud, but didn't have room! Maybe next time. 😄

Brilliant welcome for us and our dog, and garden with amazing view across to Corfe Castle. Had a couple pints of Flacks one afternoon, then returned for dinner with tasty cider on tap two following evenings. Steak & Ale pie particularly good! Thank you 😊

If you’re looking for great food and impeccable service with a smile…. DO NOT GO HERE.Limited drinks selection; laughable menu (unless you’re looking for a choice of 5 dishes including a birds eye chicken fillet burger flung into a bun at point-blank range), forgetful staff incompetent of taking an order correctly and a rude and snappy teenage waiter who needs to take a breath before answering back at every available opportunity.Although, in the interest of a balanced review… one thing that is great about the the pub.. instead of laying the burden at your feet of deciding whether you want to pay the service charge, they kindly apply it to your bill without notice. I mean, given that you order food and drinks at the bar, collect all condiments yourself and no one checks whether the meal is ok or clears the table when your finished, 10% seems reasonable.. 1% for every foot the plate was carried from the kitchen to the table..The view from the pub is good to be fair… so when driving away from the pub as fast as you can, you have something nice to look at.NEVER AGAIN.

The whole experience was like something off Gordon Ramsays kitchen nightmares. Horribly rude and unfriendly staff, shabby furniture and cold hostile atmosphere. The food was below par but for extortionate prices. A single burger with no chips or even a bit of garnish on the side was a tenner, if you wanted chips they were an extra £4! And even then they were over cooked oven chips.10% service charge added whether you like it or not despite going to the bar to order all your food and drinks and carrying them back to the table yourself as well as getting all your own cutlery and condiments and nobody comes to check whether your meal is ok.When we asked for the 10% “service” charge to be removed as there was no service whatsoever the lady who seemed to be the manager started an argument. Also when ordering drinks we asked for something that was advertised on the menu but the barman didn’t know what it was and said they didn’t do it. On the next trip to the bar someone else serving offered said drink as an option. No communication between staff, nobody has a clue what’s going on and when walking past the kitchen we overheard the staff talking about us!Seriously horrible experience couldn’t wait to get out of there and will never return. Highly recommend choosing one of the other many pubs in the area for better quality food at more reasonable prices and most importantly friendlier service or at least not downright rude.

Review of pub only. Really disappointing. Poor menu, everything from the deep fat fryer. Service charge included despite serving ourselves with cutlery and drinks and ordering from the bar! And our confirmed email booking was not evident in the diary when we arrived.

We decided to go to the Scott arms for lunch on New Year’s Day to celebrate my dads birthday. Unfortunately we were extremely disappointed. Everything on the menu was deep fat fried! We ordered 5 chicken burgers which were the equivalent to the 99p McDonald’s burger which were £10. If you wanted chips it was an extra £3.95!!!! The pub was very cold and no fires were lit. My dad had ham, egg and chips and we all had a soft drink. The total bill came to £100. I would not ever visit this pub again or recommend it to anyone. Poor service and very inexperienced staff. We sent an email to the pub with our complaints with no response.

A good range of quality drinks and delicious food served by very friendly and professional staff. It has a beautiful Corfe Castle outlook from their lovely beer garden.

We have been visiting this Inn on and off for many years. This time we just had lunch on a quiet bank holiday. The Inn has been through many evolutions and it's big USP is its location and view, which you need to be in the garden to enjoy. We have experienced fine dining at the Inn but it provides a much more basic experience now. We ate from a menu which "might be the right one" and we're served by a young man who seemed surprised that we needed cutlery to spread pate on toast. The food was fine, very reasonable and appeared swiftly. The presentation was basic. All the staff were very courteous. The Inn provides the perfect fayre for the Purbeck walkers who visit, so be prepared for muddy wellingtons, lots of anoraks and damp dogs.

Great food and drink, quick service once ordered. Ordering a little strange at the lower bar but the system works.Booking a table a bit of a pain; number always closed so you have to email which means last minute bookings not really feasible.
