For letting a drug addict handicapped woman into the pub nearly every night with them(bar staff and landlord) knowing about it, because the woman asks nearly all customer to help her with her drugs and telling a sob story about her handicap making locals feel vulnerable and bad. But they will not ban the woman herself, instead they watch who talks or tries to help the woman and have a go at them. Not good! Don’t kick out people trying to help a woman who makes them feel bad for her needs, kick out the woman herself! The people behind the bar, actually warned me about her, after she had approached me and some of my family, but when one member didn’t know what was going on, landlady nearly banned him for it, so disrespectful and unfair! Not a fair pub at all!! Just want the money rolling in… grim if you ask me! Landlady treats customers with 0 disrespect.. all cares about is money rolling in. Do not recommend. Also good taste bland as anything. Do not go here!

Lovely carvery, and very reasonably priced. Would love to go back and try other things off the menu.

Very very slow service, had to go and find a waitress after being there for nearly an hour, waiting for someone to take our order, then when we finished our main meal we had to do the same to order our desserts. Only one lady behind the bar when it came to pay

15 went for a family meal together. I had mega mixed grill with my 9 yr old son. Absolutely loved it really nice meats cooked how you ordered it. All meals brought out together well as many as they could carry at once. Good service would definitely go back.

Well what can I say Nicky, Steve and the team at admirals your Jack Daniels pulled pork burger was to die for absolutely stunning and the Jack Daniels nuggets 10/10.Food arrived quick still lovely and hot it’s the best takeaway I’ve had in a very long time.Packaging for the food was brilliant too I really like how well it arrived. You and your team should be proud of the food you are producing and I can’t wait to have again.I would add photos however there is nothing left of it because of how good it was.

An extremely busy pub with a carvery and bar. It took a long while to get served because of the sheer volume of customers and getting to the bar at peak Sunday trading was impossible! However the staff were courteous, industrious and very hard working. Outside there is the empty canal basin part of the Bridgewater canal and Parrett navigation referred to as the Bridgewater docks or basin which is of significant historical interest there is a grade 2 listed inoperable bastion bridge and two defunct inoperable lock gates. The Bridgewater canal access gates are permanently open so the floating docks within the basin are at canal height. The lock gates to the river Parrett are silted up so inspite of a massive tidal drop of 8’ the basin doesn’t drain to river level. There are numerous defunct sluice gates that used to drain silt out of the basin and an original Victorian hand operated crane. Redevelopment is hampered by an inability of the RIver & Canal Trust to liaise with the borough council over mutual lease responsibilities which is hampering a potentially lucrative development. Currently no boats are allowed to moor on the pontoons.
