Waited almost 15 minutes after being seated for someone to take an order, eventually managed to call someone over who then took another 10 minutes to put the order through on the system, having handwritten the order. Nachos arrived with partially frozen guacamole and unmelted grated cheese. Luke warm beefburger and cold chicken and bacon burger arrived, not even warm enough to melt the slice of cheese. Chicken burger arrived almost 'deconstructed', just a tipped over mess.Noone came back to the table to check if everything was ok. So again, 10 minutes passed and I had to find someone to tell the food was poor.Just rubbish service and even worse food.They weren't busy at all. A number of members of staff wandering around, clearly trying to find something to do.Missed opportunity here to make a lot of money. But instead, a mediocre place receiving poor reviews for, from what I can see on here, a number of years.

Shame as started off with a lovely barmaid called storm.Drinks came for kids and weren’t told they didn't have one of the ingredients. Then food came.. lukewarm. Burger tasted like it had been cooked and then microwaved. Kids food not very nice either. Sent mine back and no offer of a refund. Then was asked if food was ok and said no sorry I had to send mine back. Oh was the response. Had booked in for tomorrow but cancelled and again said the food isn’t good. Again nothing. Unfortunately I don't think anything will be done as not really an alternative on the site

Expensive, non-noteworthy breakfast. Over the years i always leave the mash and barrel unimpressed, not bad enough to complain about but not great. For me it's a real missed opportunity to do a premier inn style buffet breakfast. Waiting staff are friendly, full marks to them.

Confused with previous reviews. We all had a great meal on 2nd September 2021 (Family of 4). All staff were polite, efficient and helpful. Would recently recommend a visit.

Terrible experience, terrible service and terrible foodI ordered a granola bowl and my friends ordered pancakes, after 45 minutes we asked where the food was and were told that it was being plated up. I would understand a wait if they were busy but we were one of around 4 full tables. 20 minutes later we ask again and it’s still being plated up.When we finally get the food, the pancakes were cold and dry and it’s very difficult to ruin a granola bowl but the food was terrible. Nobody came to our table to ask if the food was okay either.We informed the manager of our terrible experience and she gave us 20% off, we also have an owners privilege card which gives us 15% off but she refused to give us both discounts.So we paid for our meals, which we didn’t eat and had to go for breakfast elsewhere.Would not recommend

Poor service, poor food (actually inedible). Waited 45 minutes for the a bowl of cereal and some pancakes. Asked to speak to the manager and she gave 20% off the bill. Then refused to acknowledge the 15% owners discount. Would not recommend here.

The food is not good. The service isn’t much better. We waited over an hour for food when the restaurant wasn’t even busy. When it came out the breakfast wasn’t even warm. Not worth the time, money our effort.
