Pretty tasty Chinese, they do a good level of spice in the hot dishes which is a nice change. Prawn toast seemed to taste and look a lot like chicken toast though.

Food improved after a glitch with new owners, back to a good standard, best to order in advance to save a long wait by just turning up.

First time we've tried here - and a long time since we had a Chinese. Pleased to say really excellent Dinner for Two. Generous helpings - enough for three. The meal was ready to pick up as ordered - no waiting. And the containers we can use again for our freezer. Will definitely be back.

A wistful family run Chinese. Upon entering the building its well decorated and very clean. Don't expect the food lightening quick as it's all cooked to order. I would be annoyed if a Chinese got my food too quickly. Plenty of choice on the menu with great quality food and good portion sizes . Well worth a visit !

A really great Chinese with a large choice. Had take out a number of times and can't fault it. The set menus are varied and range from 2 - 6 people. Friendly staff with a fast cook time if you collect. I would rate five stars, however it's cash only so you need to plan ahead (or hit up the cash point/cash back facilities in the coop next door!).

Authentic Chinese food cooked fresh. It has to be the MOST SCRUMPTIOUS Chinese meal I've ever tasted since living in the UK for the past 14 years. Hubby and I came here on a dear friend's recommendation. Decor and ambience of the waiting area were lovely. Linda, who took our order, was friendly, helpful and patient. Her husband, working hard in the kitchen, has got to be an award-winning chef. This may sound absurd, but the food I've ordered tonight (Malay King prawns with lemongrass, veggie fried rice and Thai fish cakes) was so delicious that I think it's even better than those offered at some restaurants and eateries in HK and other parts of Asia! Hands down, Golden Pond is a winner and deserves far more stars than Google allows. Well done, guys! Keep up the good work. And in case, you've not noticed, we've just become one of your (many, I'm sure) regulars. ;)
