Great steak House. Excellent quality meats.

I love eating at Alex's Steakhouse bar and grill at the great escape!Have been here many times with friends and nobody has ever had a poor word to say, its regarded as one of the best steaks anybody has had in their life. No doubt its the best steak in Bridgwater, probably Somerset.The value for money is unmatched anywhere I've been in the world, its Michelin quality for local pub prices!!And the service is so amazing as well, such a friendly environment, Alex is a lovely guy and I'm such a regular his wife makes sure she has a lemon mousse ready for when I finish my steak.11/10!

Tried to book a Christmas party. They never pick up the phone and when I did get through, they said they would email me all the information, twice, and never did.

Now called Artichoke Gastro pub. Our family of 6 had the best meal ever here last night. Luca the chef deserves a medal. Fabulous service too.

Chilled, cosy and affordable place.The menu was straight forward and easy to order.Fish cakes were very nice and delicious, I liked the variety of salads. It came with tasty tartar sauce.

Very nice restaurant/pub we had a lovely meal.there is Very good selection of drinks gins/ales. good social distancing measures in place like waiting to be seated, floor markings and several hand sanitizer stations around.the staff were super friendly and helpful.i will definitely be returning.

Beautifully laid out venue with friendly service and excellent food. Love the outside space. The staff are extremely helpful and can't do enough for you.

For a Saturday night it was very quiet which made evening eating experience very enjoyable there was plenty of food and all arrived at the same time my only gripe was the pint of real ale I had was far too cold. My sausage and mash was delicious although I would have preferred one less sausage so two really good quality ones and more mash and peas and the delicious gravy rather than 3 sausages. I thought the whole night was very good value the menu gave plenty of choice for most people tastes and I would find it difficult to believe you wouldn't find something to your liking I would definitely go there again

Being new to a gluten free diet (not by choice) its been a little difficult to find places to eat out. Having said that, I cannot fault the menu here as many of the dishes can be made gluten free. The menu is very clear as to what they can do and leaves you with a wide variety to chose from. The staff are very welcoming and nothing is to much of a problem.

The food was brilliant. It was the first time we came here and it won't be the last. Jamie Fallon was especially welcoming. He was also apologetic as my partner ordered two different meals and they didn't have any left but they offered him an alternative which was very understanding. Will be back soon!
