Stayed at Premier Inn next door to The Hobbs Boat last night and just want to say what a lovely pub this is. The staff both last evening and at breakfast this morning were absolutely brilliant 👏....welcoming, polite, efficient, professional and friendly....perfect balance and the breakfast standard was excellent...beautifully cooked food, lots of choice and very good value,. Would definitely recommend 😀 😊 👍

Really lovely restaurant. The food is very good along with the service. We went there for my son's birthday recently and had a fabulous evening. Our waiter was very good and very attentive. We go there quite often, well worth a visit.

Absolutely amazing, five of us went for lunch to celebrate my daughters birthday, all our food was home cooked, fresh and extremely tasty, the deserts were just like 'mums' wonderful service and attention to detail. Highly recommended. Amazing value for money 5 stars will go again and again....Thank you for making my daughters 40th Birthday a special treat!

Sunday roast beef like rubber. do not recommend. Gammon was sold out, can probably guess why as beef was tougher than a pair of boots, roast potatoes not golden and crisp as stated on menu . Veg was acceptable. Pleasant staff and a good atmosphere.

Great service, very friendly staff and a beautiful pub. Food portions I felt were a bit small for the price but it was good standard. They also except blue light card here which was great 😊

Normally salads are the sort of thing you eat because you have to, the salad I had was one I would want to again and again. Super delicious and very fresh. Staff were really lovely and did an excellent job. Would be back frequently if I didn't live in California.

Excellent Sunday dining experience. They were busy and well booked in advance however the staff were friendly and accommodating.Good, wide range of choices, and the Fake and Ale Pie bloody gorgeous. And all, really good value.Compared to the prices of other nearby establishments, I think you can't go wrong here.

Absolutely fantastic food and all the staff are amazing all very friendly and great with kids. Nothing was any trouble and before you even sit down your asked about if you have any allergies. Spot on food all cooked to perfection and all comes out nice and quick. Quick but not rushed service that’s hard to get but this place has it nailed. Will definitely be returning again and again

First visit and probably not my last. The food was good and the overall feel of the place was warm, clean and friendly. The waitress Sharon was extremely polite and had a warm personality. Keep up these standards

Stopping at the adjoining Premier Inn, we decided to take advantage of a meal in The Hobbs Boat.Upon arrival we were greated by the manager/owner (assuming) who showed us to our table, and we were assigned our waitress Lauren. Both were polite, friendly and down to earth.Food was fantastic. Starters, we had classic prawn cocktail and tempura prawn (both pictured), followed by lasagne and chicken forestiere. We had taken advantage of the meal deal incorporation with Premier Inn which included a starter or dessert with main, and breakfast the following day for £23.99 pp. Once in the restaurant, if you wished to make it a 3 course, it was just an additional £2 pp. A drink was also included.I feel this deal is great value.A kids 3 course meal is £4.99, again fantastic value. The restaurant was really warm (still mid 20s outside) but the staff were battling through and are a absolute credit.If/when we are back down this area again, I wouldnt hesitate to repeat this evening. In summary beautiful food + great hosts = a lovely night out. Thank you!!
