Lovely pub, great food. Car park at rear next to Nice beer garden. Well worth a visit.

Wonderful country pub serving good food at good prices definitely worth a stop

Went for a family meal, portions are on the small size. We ordered Thai mussels and prawns from the specials - this is not what I would consider Thai style at all - it's just mussels and prawns with a sweet chilli dipping sauce poured over the top. Children's cheese burger had grated cheddar on top and the sirloin steak was thin and fatty.Staff friendly and helpful, environment clean and pleasant but I think the kitchen needs reviewing.

Good service, decore a little to be desired looks tired. Sunday lunch was OK. Malteaser cheese was literally a normal cheesecake with a few Malteasers on top. In short 6/10

Food not as good as it used to be.as you can see the pastry was very hard and the meat was very bland. service very good. staff very clean and friendly.i believe it as been taken over by new landlady.

Driven past many times in the past 30 years without stopping here. I hadn't realised what I have been missing. We had a great light lunch in the beer garden, baguettes superb value and good quality. Good pint of Butcombe. Totally recommend and we will visit again.

Went for lunch while on a circular walk. Good menu of mainly pub classics plus a specials board with 6 or so extra items. Not expensive. Probably not the widest choice to evaluate on as we had 2 beef lasagna, 1 veggie lasagna and a beef and ale pie. All good sizes, nice veg or salad and tasty. Will be going again if I'm in the area.

No reinventing the wheel here - we ordered a main off the specials board, mussels and Thai prawns which oddly came with 4 triangles of wholemeal bread and portions of anchor butter.. very odd.. this was also available as a starter which was the same as the main, just a smaller portion size. This should or could have really come with rice or noodles..My wife ordered a a raspberry pavlova.. this was very disappointing as it was simply a pre packaged merangue with canned squirty cream with just a few raspberries.. really poor. We won't be back.

A lovely little pub good food the only down side small parking at the front, the larger car park at the rear is difficult for the disabled, you have to climb quite a few steps to exit or enter.

Brilliant night with the amazing Jukeboxers in ideal country public house.Warm and friendly atmosphere provided by owner's and staff.
