Fabulous restaurant. Dined here while staying at the Mercury hotel. Sean and the team gave excellent service, friendly welcome and served superb food. What more can you ask for? Thank you for making our stay so special.

Really good food! There were 6 of us and we had 3 course dinner. Each dish was really good, including desserts. Freshly cooked, good quality, natural flavours, nicely presented and tasted really good. Moreover, digested well afterwards (not like most restaurants eith serving either frozen or reheated foods)Staff was friendly and service was quick. (Restaurant wasn't busy this Saturday evening)Would recommend and come back again.

Booked for Afternoon Tea for a birthday treat, parking is easy but is pay & display. Access is easy for anyone who is disabled to the restaurant. The staff were so helpful & attentive. The food was very good, we would definitely go back again.

For a top rate chef's restaurant this will need some polishing to bring it to 5*. Items such as no butter knife, no serving spoon with sides, no fork with sweet let it down. Service was excellent and the actual food was also top rate, though a tad over seasoned. Recommended.

Had a wonderful meal here with my partner for his birthday. Our server Ryan was lovely and friendly without being overbearing. The food was cooked to perfection and came out fast. Loved the atmosphere and would happily come here again. Bonus point very well priced for the high quality of the food

Great atmosphere, pleasant attentive staff. The food was absolutely amazing, great taste, good portion sizes. A very pleasant experience. I would recommend for a special occasion or a treat. I would have given 5 stars but for the prices.

The restaurant itself is lovely and well spaced out, not crammed in at all. Most of the food was very nice, soup starter and brownie dessert were excellent. The "Butchers Steak" however, even though we were told it was rump, was terrible. It was the toughest, chewiest steak I've ever had. When we said that it wasn't good to the waitress she said that it varies, and can be like that, but didn't apologise! In addition the person who brought the mains out placed them in front of us without a word, and walked quickly away, we had to call out to ask for additional condiments rather than being offered. The service otherwise was friendly, if a little off. It certainly wasn't packed at every table, on a Saturday evening, so not sure volume of custom could be used as an excuse. For the price paid I couldn't honestly recommend it.

Decided to give this a go last night and wasn’t very impressed at all.Service was very good, fast and friendly which was a positive.Starter was good, we both had steaks for the main meal.I had the 10oz rib eye as I didn’t think the 6oz fillet would fill me up very much (I’m not a large guy) this had an unusual amount of fat on it. The price I paid i was very dissatisfied with the quality. There was no discount when I mentioned this to the waitress, she just replied with the rib eye contains more fat than the fillet which was a little patronising in my opinion. We shared a dessert which was ok.Would I go back…not a chance!

Great food, fab service. Would definitely recommend, but you do need to book in advance

Went for Sunday lunch as a trial experience, overall above average but not as good as it should be hence the 4*.The restaurant is modern, well spaced and open but with dividers for sound reduction and a more private feel. The tables were cleaned well after guests departed but like far too many other places the floors are ignored until the end of the day - not nice when you look down or need to place a bag on the floor and all you can see is bits of food… another fault is the walls near the tables, in some places they have become splashed with drink/food/other from the table and stained with grease etc. Why are the walls not painted in wipe down waterproof paint! The damaged areas are well bad and ruin the feel of the restaurant, also housekeeping needs to check the light fixtures for cobwebs…The food was good and hot, my wife’s pork very good (no crackling:(), my beef was very tasty but not really enough once I had taken out the sections of gristle that is common in sirloin. We will be back but not in a rush.
