Riverside Chinese Restaurant in Sedgemoor

Possibly my favourite chinese, I keep wanting to go here when I'm in the south, I'll make plans with my in-laws to get food from here and then they will choose a different take-away breaking my heart every time. :(and then when I am back up north they go there to eat without me and my fiancé! Starting to think they hate us.

Best Chinese I've had in years. The crispy chilli beef is incredible.

Always a high standard. Stand out dishes include prawn toast, noodles, black bean sauce meals, chicken balls and chicken sate. Plenty of choice.

Very enjoyable. Great food'plenty of it along with good price and service. Thank you to the staff for accomodating us 5 adults and our lovely teenager in the wheelchair 😁

Ordered 4 items on the phone, ready for collection in 20 minutes. On pick up noticed there were only 3 items in the bag, it was sorted out quickly. Worth checking your order before you leave the shop, nothing more annoying than getting home and finding you have a meal missing. Food was very tasty and good size portions.

It was a few years ago when I last visited but I have been there several times and each time the lady serving me in the restaurant was very pleasant very fair and even allowed me to cancel my dessert (even though it was at the last minute) as me and my girlfriend at the time were absolutely stuffed from the fantastic food ! As i said ive not been there for a while but the times I have were memorable as even to this day it was the best food (let alone Chinese) I ever had . I'm being very honest when I say it was excellent value and food was at the very top of standards . If it is the same management as when I went then make a b line for it !

I’m so so disappointed in this place. People in there seem nice. I don’t like to be mean but guys you really have to sort it out. I ordered crispy chilli beef - I do not say this lightly - it was the worst chilli beef I have ever had. Please please change your recipe- it tastes like it was just caramel sauce. Zero beef in the strips. And why is you egg fried rice so sweet? Perhaps other dishes are better

Our group of 8 went for a sit down meal last night. What a fantastic experience. Staff were all very friendly, patient and welcoming. Ordered a set meal for 4 (4 of our group were fussy young children (lol)). Portions were more than ample (even took a small 'doggy bag' home). Food was great, tasty and looked good. We were not rushed nor felt they wanted us out and spent most of the evening here.Shame we don't live closer. We would defiantly come back here.Well done to all the staff.Don't take any notice of some of the other negative comments.A great big thumbs up from our group (even the fussy children)👍

The starters were among the best I've ever had! We had Satay Chicken and Prawn toast, and I have to say, both of them were were probably the best ever in a Chinese - restaurant or take-away!It's a shame the mains didn't complete the experience - after those starters, we had some Egg Fried Rice, Chicken in Batter with Honey & Garlic Sauce, and some Roast Chicken Chinese Style (all pictured). The portions were VERY generous, but unfortunately, all three were incredibly bland, and it put a bit of a downer on the whole evening.The service started well, but by the end, we spent so much time waiting that we eventually left on our own - even though we were the only ones left in the restaurant. We'd definitely go again, but order our starters as mains!

Called here to sit in after cheddar gorge and was very pleased with the food and prices. The food was served very hot and quick and the staff are very friendly. Don't be fooled by the exterior.
