Had a really nice family meal here, and staff were super friendly. Will definitely return.A lovely outside play area for the kids too so long as the weather is nice.

Wanted a pub based dinner in this busy place. Wasn't too packed and found a quiet spot inside. Plenty of outside seating and conservatory area if wanted.Had Cheddar & steak pie with chips and generous, properly cooked broccoli, with gravy. All nice and hot and cooked thoroughly although maybe the pastry a little over done on the crust.Staff were polite and pleasant even when rushed off feet serving customers. My partner had a seafood platter and thoroughly enjoyed it too.Would go here again but bear in mind at the height of summer and bank holiday, it could get packed.

A very reasonably priced pub for Cheddar. Very good value tasty food. Delightful staff and lovely beer garden by the river. We ate lunch there both days during our stay. The 'mini' Sunday lunch was anything but mini and great value for money.

Wow.What is it around here, that you all put out superb food!!??This place is another gem in our holiday.Lovely and well maintained. It's a lot bigger inside than we thought lol.We didn't want a massive meal 🤣🤣🤣 so ordered a ploughman's to share 😮😮😮It was huge and yummy.I'm coining the word foodgasm 🤣🤣Fabulous cuts of ham, pork pie, creamy Cheddar cheese, pickled onions 😮😮The apple and cider chutney 🤤🤤🤤 homemade (assuming) coleslaw, light and crunchy, not over processed. The ciabatta bread, warm and yummy.Yes, we REALLY enjoyed the food 😁😁

My wife and I visited today with my brother and his wife and son for our birthday meal (my brother and I are twins of course). When we arrived we parked in the disabled parking spot in the car park and entered via the conservatory at the rear of the building. The waiting staff were all wearing facemasks of course and were quite attentive before and during the meal. Our order was taken and after a wait of about 15-20 minutes, it arrived. The first thing I noticed was the eggs, which were presented in a triangle format rather than the traditional circular variety (what shape was the eggs?) The eggs had been fried and out of four eggs only one was runny when you "popped" it, the others were very well done. There were 2 slices of medium thickness ham and along with a reasonable portion of what I call catering chips and peas on my plate. It was ok, average food, the ham was quite fatty we felt. We asked for some mayonnaise and ketchup and were presented with 3 pots of each (Chefs Larder it tasted like) between the 5 of us. I do not believe the food was worth £10 for Ham, Egg, Chips, and peas, it feels like it cost just about £2 in terms of ingredients.During the meal we were asked 3 times how the meal was, this practice infuriates me, I like to enjoy something to eat and the company I am with, I don't expect to be interrupted by a member of staff.I went to use the toilets and could not find a disabled one, so had to use the "Normal" Gentlemen's, only to find that someone had either missed the toilet or it was leaking as all around the pan was liquid. This makes it jolly difficult to use without dragging your trousers and braces through it, as you are unable to stand to use a toilet as an able-bodied might. So to sum up, the food was average, the cost was a tad expensive, Staff needs to ease up on checking how the food is and the facilities could be inspected better.

Lovely big pub, plenty of seating. And great covered outdoor seating, as we had a dog. Looks great for kids to play too! Breakfast was delicious, reasonable prices. Fast service! Only downside was you only got half a mushroom, seemed a bit stingy. Other than that, great experience.

Had a wonderful meal at The Riverside Inn today. Absolutely delicious and passed on compliments to the chef. The waitress/bar maid was friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. Will definitely look forward to going there again.
