ROCKFACE in Sedgemoor

The best place in Cheddar Gorge! Just steps away from the main road and gorge walk, it’s the perfect place to stop for ice cream, lunch or a cold drink! They even welcomed our dog and brought her a water dish after our walk. Would highly recommend!!!

Great location, nice seating area, friendly owner, latte was a bit bland.

It was brilliant. Food tasted great, staff were nice, and it’s a great location. Definitely one of the best places I’ve eaten at.

Great place for a coffee. Just far enough from the main run of the Gorge to be quiet and relaxing. Tables under a plant covered pergola and beautiful garden. Lovely view of the cliff faces. Friendly and efficient staff. A small but excellent menu with some catering for allergies

Lovely settings in the garden. Went on a Monday and were served quickly. Scone is nice!

We waited quite some time for 3 subs to take out. Got back to car and noted they where neither buttered or had much filling in them considering the cost. Coffee was also barely warm. A shame really considering it is a well decorated and looked after cafe.

Went for lunch on a Saturday. Had a good feeling about it as it looked pretty busy.Both ordered a simple baguette with fillings and was told it might be a 30 minute wait. No problem! Had a drink and was willing to take a rest after a long walk.40 minutes later still not baguette. Staff seemed pretty clueless about what they're meant to be doing. Maybe the lad in the cap could mumble less...After asking about our food we were told we only ordered the 1 baguette and 2 cokes. My SO asked for ham and cheese but was told they had no ham, she then opted for the same as me (chorizo and pepperoni). Apparently the cashier was thinking of other things and just left the 1 order on there.Might visit again if we can be proven the place runs smoothly.If pizza is cooking then maybe do the simple bits in between? 50 minutes for a baguette was a tad steep.

Amazing service from Joanna and her team at Rockface cafe. Serving 100+ hungry and thirsty cyclists before they struggle up Cheddar Gorge on a Saturday morning is no easy task, but the service was slick, and the coffee and cakes were fantastic. They even opened early to accommodate us. Loads of outdoor space and a great location. We'll be back very soon.
