Great little find and must visit if visiting Axbridge or Cheddar!!! We were visiting king John's hunting lodge when fell a bit hungry and stumbled upon this place. Absolutely amazing! There we were 5 of us and they managed to squeeze us in upstairs during their peak hours.. We ordered scones, sausage roll, ham sandwich, cakes and drinks which were all delicious. The ham sandwich was very decent in size as my 8 yo daughter would normally be able to finish a full sandwich herself she could only manage half here and it wasn't because of the taste! The homemade Victoria sponge as well as coffee and walnut cake were both delicious. The fresh from oven scones were so good my wife had two andy parents had one each (including some of the cakes). What is there not to like?Location and venue was excellent; service was top notch; food was great and all very reasonably priced!

Great service and excellent staff so helpful and guess what Dog Friendly too, although the spiral staircase is a bit of a challenge so luckily you can eat in the court yard or the table's on the ground floor, can't wait to return.

So pleasant we didn't want to leave! Such a welcoming atmosphere with friendly staff. The bookshop is great and couldn't leave without a little something special. Great tea and stunning fresh cake! I can highly recommend a visit.

Wonderful vegan afternoon tea for £15! Two big cakes and loads of sarnies with oat milk for unlimited coffee/tea. My friend's non-vegan teas also looked great (and huge!). Tables nicely spaced apart and very clean inside. Go and support this fab small business. Axbridge is also a lovely little historical village.

RE-VISITED and still as goodIf your in the vasinity and looking for a great place for a snack/lunch or just a drink then you can't go far from this.A cosy place with history, plenty of seats inside and a few outside in the courtyard. If you was thinking of going here it might be advisable to book ahead as it gets busy.... We had the soupwich ( recommended ), friendly service with lovely food

An adorable teahouse in Axbridge serving afternoon tea alongside a regular food menu. Five of us were fortunate enough to turn up for AT on Saturday without a booking (but probably wise to reserve). The kind ladies explained the portions are generous here so three sets plus two cream tea add-ons would suffice for our group. For sandwiches, my favourite was definitely the prawn mayonnaise - very fresh! Their plain scones were warm, airy and easy to cut into; served with clotted cream & jam. Cakes are more like slices including carrot, chocolate, lemon drizzle etc. All in all, it was ~£10pp. Do visit!

Loved it here!A understated wooden door leads to a beautiful hidden gem with beamed ceilings. Exellent hospitality from the staff who were more than accommodating with food allergies.Delicious breakfast made with high quality food. They offer 3 sizes of breakfasts to suit your hunger needs, all reasonably priced too. The only down side is I don't live closer!
