Come down here on holiday many times and have eaten here on numerous occasions but unfortunately our first visit here this year was extremely disappointing. We waited a very long time for our main course and were then dished up gluey and lumpy mashed potato. When asked if everything was ok I mentioned the potato and basically was laughed at while being told at least you know it's homemade. We were offered chips instead and were given the price of the mains but unfortunately will not be going back again which is a great shame as we normally visit here around 8-10 times during our regular 2 week break.

Found this place when driving to doniford for a holiday. Looked it up on the internet and impressed with the menu especially for Sunday lunch. Not over priced and lots of delicious food and large portions. Will remember this Sunday lunch for a long time.

We stopped for lunch after a walk with our dogs in the Quantocks. Fabulous lasagne and chunky chips with a big salad, hubby had home made curry and soup to start. The food is outstanding, a must visit. 😋

Absolutely superb service and excellent quality food, so good in fact, we've just been back there, had the steak, which was excellent, but the gammon, egg and chips is a different level 💜 Highly recommended 👌👍👏

Stopped here as my son had just been sick in the car and we needed to clean him up. We were going to clean him by the car and stop in for some drinks to make sure he was ok for a little bit before moving on. We asked if we could put the sick bag in there industrial sized bin that was already next to a giant pile a rubbish but was told no by a member of staff. Decided not to go inside as staff member was very rude. Cleaned up my son and left and went to the next pub down the road to spend our money. Think staff need to learn some manners.

Had lunch here on our way though. Had a bacon and brie baguette with salad which was really tasty. Open on a bank holiday which was convenient, nice and quiet atmosphere. Staff were friendly enough. Lose 1 star as it is a tad pricey but the portion sizes softened the blow.
