If I could give 0 stars I would do so, me and my family went it for a meal, I had steak and asked for it to be cooked medium, when it came I couldn’t even chew the steak, waitress came over and asked if our meal was okay so I told her about the steak, the manager thsn came and said it’s the way you have had it cooked, I’ve never been anywhere we’re I couldn’t chew a peice of steak and say it’s the way it been cooked the manager then began to say that I was the only one that has had a problem offered me another steak yet all my family had finished there meals because ours came out last, the food is well over prices for the quality and definitely will not be returning the managers attitude was unreal didn’t even offer a free drink or a refund disgusting food and even worse service

Lovely welcome from Kerry and a super lunch. Good menu choices. The log burner made for a cosy visit and so nice to see a dog friendly pub. Attentive but not obtrusive service. Definitely somewhere to visit again.

The food was great, the staff were great, felt a little overpriced, but would eat here again!

I can only say Fantastic, wonderful Sunday roast beef and pork. A welcome like we were best friends and the place is spotless. Only 35 minutes from WSM Fantastic lunch then a walk along the river at Cannington. All in a 10 out of 10 afternoon.

Come down here on holiday many times and have eaten here on numerous occasions but unfortunately our first visit here this year was extremely disappointing. We waited a very long time for our main course and were then dished up gluey and lumpy mashed potato. When asked if everything was ok I mentioned the potato and basically was laughed at while being told at least you know it's homemade. We were offered chips instead and were given the price of the mains but unfortunately will not be going back again which is a great shame as we normally visit here around 8-10 times during our regular 2 week break.

Found this place when driving to doniford for a holiday. Looked it up on the internet and impressed with the menu especially for Sunday lunch. Not over priced and lots of delicious food and large portions. Will remember this Sunday lunch for a long time.

Really accommodating staff! Lovely quality food! Great value for money! Staff were lovely and couldn’t do enough to make our meal special!

Had lunch here on our way though. Had a bacon and brie baguette with salad which was really tasty. Open on a bank holiday which was convenient, nice and quiet atmosphere. Staff were friendly enough. Lose 1 star as it is a tad pricey but the portion sizes softened the blow.
