The Friendly Spirit in Sedgemoor

Lovely location, absolutely fantastic little "village pub on the river" vibe. Drinks were reasonably priced for the area and the decor of the pub was spot on through out. The only thing preventing a 5 star rating is one member of staff unfortunately not putting the "friendly" in "friendly spirit", they had a "do i have to?" Kind of attitude to serving

Really really impressed . We went there on mother's Day . The food was lovely the staff were very friendly the prices were spot on and it's in a lovely setting . We will be going back

Lives up to the name. We stayed over in our Motorhome and had a fantastic time. The owners and staff were friendly and helpful . Had drinks and meals which were delicious. Will definitely return.

Great food and atmosphere, really enjoyed our visit. Lovely beer garden too with a Gin hut, although closed I'm sure it's fab in the summer.

Quiet Monday lunchtime. Special lunchtime menu for older people, good value. Friendly waitress. Reasonable parking.

Nice outside area. They had some issue with the kitchen so they only could serve roast dinners. I had the beef and was really tender and with plenty gravy

We had a sharing plate, which suited the children and us as there was something to please everyone. Very basic food. We thought the chips very very morish. Pleasant garden, with climbing thing and rabbits. So near the river. Great after a morning of sploshing about.

Stopped here on the way home from a family holiday after a long drive and still more to go we needed a break. Ordered seven main meals which all came out hot and perfectly cooked and all delicious. Draught ale was lovely and staff were friendly and helpful, our son loved stretching his legs on the play area too. Will definitely visit again next time we're in this neck of the woods!

Friendly and spirited, job done! Dog friendly in the bar. The steaks and sauces we had were delicious. Motorhomes welcome overnight but only space for 2 so booking is recommended, particularly if you want a hook up.
