Very welcoming friendly staff. We took 2 spaniels and offered to sit in the garden but they said inside was fine. The menu wasn’t huge but had something for everyone plus a very good specials board. Fish and chips was excellent, the burgers are big and I had the cold seafood platter which was delicious.Deserts were reasonably priced and a good sized portion- almost too much for me.Would definitely recommend The Gardeners Arms, we will be making a return visit!

We were celebrating a 60th birthday as a family 24 in total . We could not have wished for a better evening.Fabulous food, super friendly and efficient team, nothing was too much trouble.Cannot wait to return for seconds.

The pub may be distant from city centre and tucked away between tiny village streets but well worth the visit! It is very well finished with se modern touches but retains the character. Staff was very friendly and helpful (if only all places had such service!). Food wise we all were happy and portions were rather large. All meals were piping hot and we even managed to get customised meal for 2.y.o. Prices as you would expect in tourist location but not too high. Garden is very tidy if you lucky with the weather. Would definitely recommend!

Really nice spot with a lovely back garden. Portions are very generous and the chips were really crispy.

We went for a Sunday lunch this weekend. The food was fantastic. It was the best roast dinner I have had at a pub for years. I would highly recommend the pork!

Went to the pub down the road and wasn’t serving food…. So thought what to do…. Drive down a bit further and our saviour The Gardeners Arms was there with a great welcome from all the staff super friendly helpful.Covid aware, scan app and order great idea.Although it was a Sunday, we didn’t fancy a Sunday roast, but OMG so pleased we did my photo doesn’t do it justice, it was -- Superb local produce.- So tasty, moist not dry.- A little thing I have to always ask for is an extra pot of gravy and your sat waiting whilst dinner goes cold….. Nope got it covered comes out at same time 👍- Very big but no quality lost.- Best roast I’ve had, but don’t tell the wife 😂Don’t drive past drive in !!Enjoy 😉

Can't say enough about how nice it was.The food was fantastic. Mussels were lovely, fish was huge, the chips (both chunky and fries) were seasoned perfectly and the ceasar salad was gorgeous. The pub was bright and welcoming. The staff and service was fantastic and overall the food was great value for money with big potions. If we weren't just here on holiday we would be back again and again.
