Amazing food at a good price and lovely host well worth a visit

Pleasant local pub, visited early evening on the way to eating elsewhere but pub menu looked enticing. Would consider return visit for food.

Fantastic and quirky pub. Really well laid out with good spaces for dogs or people that might need a bit of space. Very dog friendly. The food (pie and mash only) is outstandingly good with vegetarian and vegan options. If you're in cheddar and looking for a pub I'd highly recommend a visit!!

If you are in Cheddar you can't miss its oldest pub. The building is a classic old pub very cosy with fireplace, bricks walls, board games and nice beers. I really appreciated the choice of rock music from the owner!

Quaint little place down in cheddar just off the beaten track, really nice food after a long cold walk around the reservoir, great tasting pie, on mash and veg perfectly cooked and loads of it, great little atmosphere, staff very friendly will definitely return.

Lovely local village pub, landlord friendly and traditional English pub. Lush real fire to sit next to. Serving the most amazing mulled cider and wine- a definite must on chilly nights

Such a lovely country pub. We were visiting cheddar for a few days holiday and the Kings Head was a great find! Nice beer garden, good selection of drinks. Really friendly atmosphere and staff were delightful. Dog friendly too. The pies on the menu looked great. Would highly recommend. We will definitely be back - ideally in spring to see the wisteria out the front in full bloom!

Lovely country pub, away from the maddening crowd, with a very friendly bar chap looking after us. We ordered the pie and a pint, the pies are Pieminister Pies and didn’t disappoint! Absolutely delicious! Plus a couple of pints of real ale. Recently reopened, well done 👍
