We have recently stated using this venue regularly. Sunday lunch today was excellent. Food hot, plates hot, nothing to much trouble for the Malt Shovel team. Very friendly and helpful staff. Keep up the good work.

We visited as a couple for dinner last night. Originally there were no free tables so we stayed for a drink and in no time at all the very polite and friendly lady at the bar came and found us to tell us she had a free table if we still wanted it. We stayed for dinner. The meal was lovely, including one vegetarian. Great atmosphere and the pub itself is well presented and relaxed. Great atmosphere and the lady who took care of us was absolutely great. Thank you! We will definitely visit again xx

Well located pub; good attention; relaxing terrace; extensive menu; We ordered Steak Rump and the meat was very tough, the sides delicious. Recommended site!

The food and drink were a really good price and can't complain about the food it being that cheap. The only thing the cheesecake dessert was warm, my friends was really hot and did not eat hers as was expecting it also to be cold. I did eat mine as it didn't bother me though it warm in the bottom. I would go back again as it was the launch of their new menu and give them another go. The staff were helpful and friendly and good service.

I know the Malt Shovel well and have been in on many occasions with my wife Joanne, and this visit as usual, didn’t disappoint. We had lunch from the new menu and both chose the Sirloin steak and it was the right choice too. I can only say WOW, as both steaks were cooked to perfection and the whole meal was proper tasty. Sarah and her team are always very friendly and professional, delivering great service, food and drinks.

me and my family went here for a meal on Saturday the 3rd of November we didnt have to wait long for our meal the staff were on the ball all the while we were there me Andy family went to the carnival at the evening it was fantastic. it ran abit late because of a break down at the end of the carnival they did something could scwibing it was out of this would the carnivsl takes place on the first Saturday in November every year
