Where is White Willows?

🏠 Market Way, Bridgwater TA6 6DF

"Situated in the lovely village of North Petherton, at the foothills of the Quantocks, The White Willow is an excellent choice for a family meal, a business lunch, or a stop on your way down to the South West. Our menu of British classics is elevated by restaurant-style touches like yuca fries and curate-your-own starter platters, and our chicken is flame roasted to perfection. We also serve a fine selection of well-kept cask ales as well as wines, spirits, soft drinks, and draught products. We pride ourselves on being pub people serving restaurant food. That’s why every one of our Red Tractor farm-assured chickens is seasoned on site, and roasted until the interior is moist and tender and the skin is perfectly crisp."

Lovely food, undermined by the poor service. Not a great first impression as we were left without a menu for a good 20 minutes whilst other tables were served. Drinks were flat once they were eventually on the table. The waitress couldn't be less enthusiastic if she tried and the drinks were empty by the time the main food arrived; however, the food redeemed the whole experience. The meals and deserts were delicious, however mini dessert and "hot drink" had the drink arrive a good 10 minutes *after* we had finished everything.Great food, nice venue, unfortunately some of the staff let the place down; 9/10 for food, 2/10 for service.

This was a very pleasant surprise. The pub looked clean and fresh. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was very tasty, the sharing starters were very good. Everyone enjoyed their meals but no room for dessert. Bronwyn must be mentioned really a star and the poor girl even laughed at my very lame dad jokes. Remember this isn't a Michelin starred restaurant but a very good pub restaurant and we had a great time.

Despite being an elderly couple we were placed in an area with more unruly children than there were adults. Children were constantly running in and out to the play area leaving the door open causing a cold draughtIt was 1/2 hour before we were offered drinks or a menu and a further 1/2 hour before food was served. It took a further hour to clear plates and serve our sweets.2.5 hours to complete our meal was only worsened by the loud music preventing any reasonable discussions. There were not enough staff to cover the bookings

A good meal. But let down by not having any red wine on their Thursday Night Steak Offer which states that it includes wine (red wine on advert). Informed that they are having supply problems for the last two months. Altho if I paid a supplement they could offer a red wine. ..... not impressed.

First of all you are welcomed at the door by a member of staff who will escort you to your table. Staff are always polite. The food choices are ample and the food is always presented with love. The food is also very fresh and cooked really well. You are never rushed and the staff carry out checks and always ready to assist if required.

We went for a meal here tonight after avoiding it for a few years after a bad meal. I can honestly say things have improved. It was clean and tidy chicken was tender and there was plenty of it, even the steak hubby had was better cooked than in London. Staff were attentive and polite. We even took chicken home for the dog....

Bron was very helpful. Her recommendation of the cheese sauce on my husbands chips was amazing and very well received. Top marks to her for knowing the menu and quality. Great service and lovely friendly greeting.

Pleasant surroundings and good pub food. Close to J24 on the M5 so worth a stop for food if your are headed that way and don't fancy regular motorway services.
