Boars Head in South Gloucestershire

Did have BBQ burger and local ale. Must say that I haven't have that good burger yet. And I mean that. It is worth every penny and more. Really big thanks.

Great pub, now independent not part of s chain which is so refreshing, the food is excellent and the surroundings lovely and the host was really welcoming in a quiet village very close to the motorway they are working hard on attracting different groups, they deserve to succeed as they put so much effort in making a success of the pub. Great indoors and a beautiful garden area. Visit you won't be disappointed

Very friendly staff, quick service.It's a vintage pub which I really appreciated.Food was absolutely wonderful and plenty of it too!All at a very reasonable price. I would happily go back and recommend.

There was a slight delay waiting fir our meals. We were pleased about this as we were able to really "catch up" re chatting. The staff were amazing. Apologising for delay etc. Ensuring we were 'comfortable'. The actual meals, three different choices, were absolutely 'spot on' . Lovely way to end my Daughter's 52 birthday. "I'll be back". Thank you do much.

A very nice, very old pub. The menu had a good selection of the classics (pie of the week, fish and chips, burgers etc) and a good selection of other items. The food was very good. We all really liked the chunky chips. The Sunday roast had huge slabs of meat. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good size beer garden that had a bouncy castle in it. Looking forward to going again.

Had a table booked for ten of us no problem. Ebullient welcoming staff and excellent service felt like we'd been going there years!. The only reason for four stars rather than five was the fact that by three the beef had run out and the chicken dinners were served without spuds. The desserts were amazing!We'll be back I think!

Lovely atmosphere, classic English hotel pub style. Friendly staff. Very helpful.Way too many choices on the menu. Suggest you reduce it right down to a handful and concentrate on upping the quality of the ingredients.I'll definitely be back XXX thanks

We stayed overnight with our motorhome and we were made very welcome the food and drink was outstanding, we can recommend the fish and chips. Also all the staff are very friendly and helpful, definitely worth a visit.Len and kim wales.

Really cosy pub/ restaurant with an open fire . Great food and very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back again.
