Bottegino's in South Gloucestershire

A very well run restaurant in a good location with friendly and helpful staff I was greater and seated the moment I walked in and my order was taken immediately within a few minutes my drink and food where on the table and the staff checked to see if every thing was my liking I had a very nice experience

We love visiting botteginos. Whenever we go for a family meal we always choose here fantastic food which such good value for money and amazing service each time. No faults.

I went there for a meal with my friends as location was very convenient for all of us. I ordered a salad from the main menu for a starter and I got very confused when the dish arrived, it was a combination of caprese salad with a pile of leaves on the middle with shredded carrot on the top and two tiny black olives. There was no dressing or taste in it. My main dish was supposed to be cannelloni and I got a plate with a lots of sauce and three pasta pieces that tasted very strange and I presume I was served leftovers. There was no safety measures kept in the restaurant. None of the staff was wearing a mask and the place was packed. We didn't feel comfortable, left soon and I don't think I will ever come back

Nice and clean, plenty of hand sanitizer, lovely friendly staff, nice tall Polish waiter nice and friendly had a bit of banter with my friend Gwyn. Most important pizza was very tasty and extremely big 😋 👌

The food was not food in my opinion. I asked for pasta and the meat balls tasted like they came from a tin (they even had the texture). I cannot fault the staff who were very friendly, fast and helpful. However the food is not what you expect from a 'genuine' Italian restaurant. Sadly I would not recommend the place but that's just my personal option.

Service was good no problem but unfortunately the food quality was extremely lacking .No real choice of seafood mains or desserts .I had the seafood platter for starters, the calamari was like eating cardboard and the 2 prawns in shells were totally over cooked, I suspect none of it was fresh .The Sirloin steak i had for the main was full of fat and had no colour to it ,again i doubt it was fresh .I used to enjoy coming here but as others have said the quality of the meals has declined massively.

Excellent Italian food. Very professional and attentive staff we are regulars at this restaurant and we highly recommend it to all. There diverse range and special offers are very appealing.

Love going here. We live in Norfolk but come over 3 times a year and always make a point of eating here when down. Great food and despite a fixed price menu you still get a good choice. Service is good and you are not rushed .

A great place to eat if you need a large table for a lot of people. Sometimes the food isn’t amazing but it still comes out quickly and hot. The pizzas are nice and you can do half and half - so if you want to share a pizza and a pasta with someone then you can. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I would say I was borderline giving Botteginos a 3 star instead of a 4 star - if I could have rated it a 3.5 then I probably would have done but their pizzas are nice and a good size and I would say I liked it. They have a very large menu which has a lot of choice... I do normally prefer less choice on the menu but the food still seems fresh when it comes out. I would say it’s slightly pricey compared to some places and I’ve had better quality food for the same price elsewhere but its nonetheless still a nice little local place to eat, it just wouldn’t be my first choice.
