Cod and caper in South Gloucestershire

Staff have been great since we moved to the area always smiling always talkative and the kids love the cod bites 😀

I usually order the Child's size Cod Bites and Chips meal. Always freshly cooked and tastes delicious. Perfect portion size. Friendly staff.

Lovely place for classic chip shop products

Just had two fantastic burgers, the customer service is excellent, friendly and with a smile, I’ve also had fantastic Italian style pizza, authentic kebabs the best I’ve had, and all of their classic fish and chips items are spot on, highly recommended 5 stars

Chips under cooked barely salted and pitiful amount of vinegar splashed on top. Onion rings are cardboard like and overcooked. Veggie burger is pure disappointing rubbish. Curry sauce was about the only thing they slightly got right but you can tell it's a cheap gelatinous kind.

So I arrived on Wednesday just before closing.....I brought 2 Large Cod and a portion of large chips....the last fish cake was thrown in as well....must say the that was the best fish and chips I've ever had....I will be back another day

Get there 2 hours before closing, or they expect you to eat what is in the cabinetAwful customer service. I arrived 1 hour before closing, placed my order and was then told I could only have what was left in their heater cabinet. I decided to leave it.Such a shame as previous experiences have been good but clearly wanted to shift their pre-cooked food or couldn’t be bothered to put another pie in the microwave.

Quick service however it would be nice to have a little conversation along with the service. Tables and cafe in general were clean. Top quality fish and chips, piping hot and massive portions. Happy to recommend. .

Just had a great meal from here. I'll be honest we came here back when they first opened and wasn't that impressed, nothing really wrong with it just nothing special. Having come back again that is definitely no longer the case. The chicken goujons we're light and crispy but still moist and succulent inside. The cod was perfectly cooked and the batter was light and crispy, no soggy greasy batter here. Chips were great, cooked through, I hate when chip shop chips are still floury in the middle. All in all, a great meal for the family, everyone was stuffed!

Often get fish and chips from here, but stopped by to try one of the new breakfast butties - they do not disappoint! Great choice of fillings and decent portion sizes too!
