Went to Cross House for dinner with friends who have recently moved to the area. The pub had a great atmosphere, the staff were welcoming, and the food was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The village of Doynton are really lucky to have such a great pub!

I had the suet pudding which was beautiful, husband and daughter both had the burger which again was very good.. Service was excellent as was the atmosphere (and it was a Tuesday evening) Finding it more and more difficult to find a good eatery with 5 stars in all areas. This is my new go to place. Well done The Cross House Team

Really good food. Beautiful restaurant and staff are very polite and knowledgeable.Food is always amazing. Had a delicious confit duck yesterday followed by chocolate mousse.Visited again today 13/2/22 and had roast dinner. The beef was really tender and the veg was tasty. Only disappointment was the veg was undercooked and the potatoes were a bit tough. Would definitely visit again still.

Amazing food, everything is presented beautifully, and is all cooked fresh on site. There are lots of Gluten free and vegetarian options too. There's also gluten free beer! The pub is dog friendly, they are allowed everywhere but the dining room, when we went there were 4 dogs in the bar area. The service is excellent, I mean probably the best I've experienced, they are really attentive yet aren't hovering over you, and they know the menu and bar in detail. I would 100% recommend this place of you like your food!! It's also well worth travelling to too!

We came here for a very special family occasion (Golden wedding anniversary) and really glad to report it was quite simply excellent. The food was absolutely delicious and cooked perfectly. The welcome when we arrived was really lovely and all the staff were an absolute delight. It's set in a beautiful chocolate box village with lovely views especially towards the church.I can't recommend the cross house enough and can't wait to visit again

Absolutely outstanding food! Simply phenomenal! We are only here for the weekend, just arrived tonight and had dinner here. It was so good we are coming back tomorrow for dinner again:) I had the mussles starter and burger main (best burger ever). My partner had the slow cooked beef, he let me taste it, was so soft and tasty! Other than the food, service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and welcoming!

Have visited this establishment over five decades ( still remember the red patterned carpet!) Brought my wife out for a light lunch. Impressed is an understatement! Attentive well turned out staff, delicious food and a wide range of drinks. Fresh water on the table a quaint bonus mulled wine VERY Moorish. If I'd had my slippers with me could've settled in for the evening! Well done to All the team, People please support this Gem of a country Pub/ Restaurant. Ferris.

Gorgeous building and restaurant. Staff are pleasant too. We both had a really good Sunday roast which is reasonably priced.Only thing that let it down was we had a starter of fish cake with poached egg and the poached egg was solid and old. We mentioned to staff but nothing was done. Otherwise 5 stars. Will go again!

A superb modern conversion of an old country pub with a high glass conservatory extension giving excellent views and numerous tables outside. Excellent service with a choice of traditional and continental cuisine of top quality and value. Meals are served throughout and the atmosphere of a traditional country local is hereby retained. Top class decoration, modern tables and comfortable chairs.

Went here for lunch and it was delicious. Food was really nice, I had the beef burger and couldn't fault it. My partner has the hanger steak and it was cooked perfectly and very tasty. The desserts were very well presented, I had the chocolate and coffee delice with orange sorbet and although very rich it too was amazing.Would highly recommend coming here, they have a real nice outdoor sitting area.
