Asked for non alcohol drink. But was given one that was 4.5%. Then when the meal eventually arrived we got asked if we would like any sauces with are meals. I was them given horseradish I stead of the sauce I asked for. When eating are meals half of are chips was hard. (Not cooked fully).. we were not impressed by this...

Basic pub food at very reasonable prices and acceptable quality for the price. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the Sunday lunch team seemed a little inexperienced.

We booked the carvery online which was no hassle. Our table was ready and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a good selection of meat and veg on offer and prices were good.

Xmas dinner £15 which was amazing for a 4 course dinner. Starters, meat and puddings were all good. The potatoes were a bit overdone. The waiter and waitresses were very attentive, a good time was had by all :)

We booked at the Griffin for the carvery today (Sunday). When we arrived we had been allocated a high table with bench seat or backless stools, which we declined. We were then given a regular table in the bar area. This became very noisy with a large group of standing patrons adjacent to our table. We did not have long to wait to be served and called up for the carvery. The carvery itself was v.good. 3 meats to choose from and very well cooked veg (not soggy) with a choice of veg or meat gravy. The food tasted really good.Unfortunately the table location really spoilt the meal, we decided not to stop for coffee or deserts. So vg reasonably priced food, but unless you like it loud, ask for a table in the dining room, or just to right of main entrance.

Visited randomly on the way home from a day out and was really pleasantly surprised. The place is nice inside and the staff were really friendly and welcoming. We had table service for both food and drink, both came out in good time after ordering. We ordered Gammon, egg and chip plus the starter of Chicken strips to come out at the same time. Pretty standard pub food done right. No complaints at all. There is plenty of parking here and outside seating. We'll definitely have no worries about stopping here again.

We've only been for Sunday carvery (4 times). On each occasion it's been first class. We would go as far as to say it the best carvery around (locally). Really tasty and very reasonably priced. The staff are very helpful as well.
