Harry Ramsden in South Gloucestershire

First time eating at Harry Ramsden’s. Food was tasty and arrived promptly. Price of the food was reasonable. Although the restaurant is self order, service was friendly and full table service is available but the service was friendly. Great place for fish and chips. Especially for over 60’s!

Great location and they take the blue light NHS card for discount, fish and chips were tasty. Rationale for 3 stars: super busy; you will see queues to order and queues to pick up takeaway.In terms of value was a bit on a pricey side, though is somewhat expected give the location. We wanted to attend the outside restaurant, though timing wise it was going through a refurbishment.There are better establishments within Bournemouth if you head into town.

Ok so dropped in here, Wow what a restaurant. So many places have forgot what customer service is. Well this is a hidden gem, the food was tasty and the service was fabulous!! I watched as the lovely young lady, ‘smiles and all’ looked after all her customers. Well worth a visit, and if your lucky to eat outside over looking the beach from the roof top restaurant with amazing views, then you really have hit the jack pot.

A lovely experience from the moment we walked into this newly refurbished restaurant. There is a very relaxed atmosphere here and we liked the fact we could either order from a phone App or at the bar.All the staff were helpful and attentive.We had the special meal deal for "older" customers which is really good value and very tasty.Add to this the great view of the beach and the sea from the windows and it was a very enjoyable evening.

It's a place where you never get disappointed in fish and chips. Served Fish and chips is well cooked and less oily. Portions are quite limited and quite expensive, but what can you expect especially on the Beach.Overall, it's a nice place for lunch especially fish and chips and most importantly clean.

Got the Large fish and chips. Description said cooked fresh to order every time. Hand filleted Cod fish coated in a secret batter, served with mushy peas, tartar sauce and seasonal potatoes. I opted out of the mushy peas and got curry sauce instead. Firstly in my experience if something is cooked to order it is normally piping hot when you break the fish open but this was not the case as I could eat it more or less immediately.Secondly the main point is that the fillet in the fish was Very Very thin as you can see in my pictures.Basically such a large Fish with a THIN FILLET OF CODand FUll OF BATTER.VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH MY EXPERIENCE HENCE WHY I ONLY GIVE IT 2⭐⭐

Very nice place, clean restaurant, welcoming staff, very aesthetic overall building in great location.Ordered large and small battered cod, with tap water. Tap water came in a large bottle with glasses with ice and lemon, very good.Not 5 stars purely because I'm tight qorh money and the large cod was 16 quid, which is not bad for the location but still😂

Complete disappointment. Overpriced, flavourless and tiny portions.Since childhood whenever I came to Bournemouth beach, I had always wanted to come here. The Large sign with the long queue during summer always had me anticipating for the day I would finally have 'Harry Ramsden's" famous fish and chips. Boy was I disappointed. Fish tasted like card board, and chips was grainy. The beans was probably a size of 2 table spoons and the squid was flavourless. Don't even get me started about the soup.Killed my dreams.

The halloumi burger and chips were really nice. My family had the fish and chips which they enjoyed too.The chips were freshly cooked none of the food was greasy like other posters have commented.They didn't have any starters or puddings which was a shame .I've knocked off 1 star as it's quite pricey for fish and chips.

Excellent customer service, food presentation 4/10 poor standard for HR , taste 5/10 could have been improved by miles value for money 3/10 was better off buying fish and chips from outside. Am sure Harry Ramadan’s can and should improve upon this feedback. Hope to visit you guys soon again with better standards!
