Henry's Oriental in South Gloucestershire

Food was great, reasonably priced, and the waitress Chelsea was lovely.

Loved it! The peppered salt squid, sweet and sour Hong Kong style, prawn toast and duck was amazing. Cooked to perfection.I really liked the decor as tastefully styled and with Christmas decorations. Very friendly staff and well priced. The hoisin sauce was delightful and tender duck, all with the right amount of crisp and soft meat. I will definitely be heading back, I had a takeaway with a friend before so thought I would try the restaurant and I'm glad I did.Just to add to this review, I went back to try more dishes, very authentic to Chinese cuisine, the Pak choi in garlic and oyster sauce was great as well as the lemon chicken.

First time at Henry's but not the last. The Valentines evening set menu far exceeded our expectations , beautifully cooked , great variety of dishes to try and all served by excellent staff . Brilliant.

Recommended by a friend who obviously doesn't know what palletable food is.I know that covid has forced you on to allocated slots so the wait can be quite a while but that does not excuse the leather tough satay chicken skewers, or the questionable meat or lack of in my rice dish.The wontons... where do I start on the wontons... over battered, non existent filling... and a sauce pot so big I could of drowned my disappointed face in.Not only was i overcharged for the quality of food I received but.... I had to pay a separate charge of £8 to get it delivered.... £8 for a 10min drive...Quite frankly you are a direct insult to Chinese cuisine.

Henry's Oriental Chinese was absolutely amazing. Very bubbly and friendly staff. The food we could not manage to eat was put in to boxes to bring home. Would highly recommend.

Love Henry's. Always good food and very reasonably priced for a Chinese restaurant. Have eaten here many times and enjoyed a takeaway too. The Sunday buffet menu is particularly good value.

Super restaurant. Lovely staff, chilled atmosphere, great food and cocktails from bar below. Henry has a great rep locally and he didn't disappoint. Only ever had takeaway due to lockdown but restaurant was spot on. Thank you for a great evening!

The food was good, the resturant was not busy but the wait for the food was quite lengthy, the waitresses did keep us topped up with drinks though. Not sure how many chefs or cooks were there. Otherwise it would have been 4 stars.

I've been visiting Henry's for many years and can happily say I've never had a bad experience. As someone with a nut allergy I often have issues in restaurants trying to decipher what I can and cannot eat; but here my food is already pre-ordered to be cooked in separate pans in order to minimise criss contamination. With every staff member smiling and the owner himself seeing to every table this is truly a special place to visit.
