Huntsman Taverners in South Gloucestershire

Came in for some tea with my partner and little one.No idea if we were to find a table ourselves or wait for someone.Seated ourselves. Atmosphere and the overall feel of the pub was gloomy.Service was alright I guess.Chicken burger was dry and was no where near worth the money especially the £3.65 Pepsi max.Better off spending money in a bingo hall or getting food at a residential care home.

Great hotel with the exception of the back rooms or annex as they call it cocktail Bar 62 is amazing well worth a vist

For drinks it is a lovely pub but went for food with the family and their were complaints all round the table, burgers were over cooked, on of the steaks over cooked 2 others over seasoned so much so the outer layer had to be cut off just to eat it and the gammon was far to salty couldn't even be eaten. I understand this was an off peak time that I visited but when spending nearly £100 I would of expected better.

Had a lovely meal at the huntsman we had steak and hunter chicken, the staff was lovely, nothing was a problem. The lady on the bar that served us and bought to the table was Ellie. Lovely bar-maid. Thank you

I enjoyed my visit but I was disappointed when I tried to order two main courses bit both weren't available. Then after my main course I tried to order two desserts and they weren't available either. This was annoying and would put me off visiting again. The staff were quite friendly (some more than others).I rang ahead to book a table but on arrival was told they don't reserve tables which I thought was odd.Also they forgot part of my order!

The Huntsman is a large venue, with plenty of tables and space.The menu is extensive and varied to suit everyone’s needs.The guy that served our drinks and food was extremely friendly and efficient, especially as he seemed to be the only person working front of house.The food was excellent. I recommend the pasta Alfredo.

My local pub with great lash (my favourite Thatchers Haze!!) great food, Matt the manager friendly and funny man and his staff (bar and kitchen) are great and are always pleased to see people. Brilliant atmosphere where everyone is welcome.

Booked for Mother’s Day meal. Walked in no one to meet us. Waited shown to a dirty table. We got our drinks. Waited for menus. And waited. Nothing !!! My husband went and asked. The one male waiter had no enthusiasm or customer skills. Ordered only to be told no steak. But order mixed grill you get steak ?? We ordered food. Waited. What a absolute disappointment. One order burger no relish!!! When we asked. The reply we have none ?? Lasagne with salad !!! Joke. Salad was way past sell by date. All in all horrendous meal. Dirty pub no customer service. Avoid

Fantastic staff. Very friendly & welcoming. Service is super quick too. Food what you expect for the price, cheap & cheerful. Have visited several times.

I had a veggie lasagne, it was very flat and the edges were all chewy, but it was tasty enough. We went on the first day it opened, staff were starting to get back into the swing of things, which is understandable. The manager told off a member of staff in the middle of the floor in front of lots of customers, which I don't feel was needed, especially not in a public space.
