Despite booking on line they appeared not to have our bookingBarman was slow, but friendlyMenu options were restricted due to delivery shortagesFood when it came was well cooked and tasty, although way too much mustard in the salad dressingWe were seated in an odd area up above behind the bar, with plastic 'lace' table cloth and a door curtain that was too short. Odd!Also a calendar from 2013 on the wall!A quirky place with well meaning and hardworking staffThe pub has seems to have potential, not yet realisedWe will return, but just for a pint and a sarnie / bowl of crisps when out on a walk

I came here today with my son and we had a lovely time.The food was amazing especially the roast dinner 🍽 😋Nothing was too much trouble.The Royal Oak is a great little find and I can't wait for my next visit to this friendly welcoming pub.

went on sunday not having been before - the food was really good and nothing too much trouble for the lovely staff - fast service and nice warm home cooked meals !ran out of the curry as later in day so i opted for lasagna and was glad i did - it was great !! wouldn't hesitate to recommend and def would go there again !!

Absolutely delicious home made food, very friendly and helpful staff, chef very accommodating - came to speak to us personally about vegan options. Would definitely recommend.

I have been to the Royal Oak yet few times and I can say that, this place is a MUST VISIT. Worm and cozy with the lovely owners being around to make sure you get a lovely experience.What I loved the most there is the steak. So soft and always well cooked.Totally recommend and will sure go back.

Lovely pub, went for a meal just before Christmas a pub we had booked was closed. We were found a table and served quickly. Good food, good beer 🍺 👍

Fantastic place to eat, drink and enjoy good music. The staff are all so friendly. Brilliantly managed.

Came for a meal with the family to celebrate a birthday. A modest yet varied menu, which had something for everyone. The food was tastey and of generous portions representing excellent value. Friendly and attentive patrons and staff, will definitely be back.

Staff was very helpful including noticing we were struggling to find a parking spot so came to help. Food came out quickly and was very nice. Nice place to sit and have a drink after too with a nice view.

Excellent! Easy parking, friendly staff, lovely food. There were 6 of us, each chose differently from the menu, and every meal was very good. Beautiful batter, perfect pastry, nothing we could find fault with. We will be back.
