Food nice but service awful! No one came to table without being asked.Suggest for busy periods ask customers to go to the bar to order to avoid long waits for staff to come over.

Nice pub, I had the mixed grill and the sausage and steak was like rubber, the lovely women did offer me another steak which I didn't want, so she give me 20% off. The rest of the meal was fine and the starter was very nice Korean style BBQ chicken strips.

Lovely interior looked a bit like a barn conversion, full of old beams and stall partitions.Waitress was very friendly and chatty . Entire setting was clean and tidy including the toilets. The meal was very good, steaks were cooked well ( medium rare as requested), fish and chips looked beautiful and crisp not at all greasy.Puddings were lovely from Eton mess to a beautifully sharp/sweet citrus cheese cake. Finishing coffee was great. At an average cost of £25 a head excellent value. A definite recommendation.

Had breakfast and dinner 5 night on the trot. Great service, staff very friendly. Food excellent, good portions and their gravy is to die for. Thanks for a great visit.

Turned up late on a busy Sunday afternoon.Got seated by a friendly server then quickly offered and served drinks.Sunday roast (blade of beef for me😋😍) was delicious and served expediently by another lovely server. In fact, Phoebe, Michelle and Ella were all lovely and deserve mention.Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Lovely Sunday lunch with good service. The meats, yorkshires and stuffing were lovely, as was the cauliflower cheese. Only small thing... the roast potatoes weren't as nice as the rest. Will come back again.

Overall , pretty good. Service was great, food choice was good and it arrived on a good time. Prices fairHowever, food was ok but not great. Not hot enough, missing the odd element in the dish that was itemised on the menu, scruffy presented.... feels like I'm being picky but it was a tiny bit of attention to detail short of 5 stars. Will return though

We came here for a large family gathering. Although we pre-ordered all our meals they made many mistakes. Meals were missing so we couldn't eat at the same time, food was over cooked & this picture is my wife's vegan salad which is the worst meal I've seen presented at a restaurant. It's just lettuce with croutons on it. There wasn't even dressing on it.In their defence, the beetroot burger I ate was good & after complaining about the salad they did remove it from the bill. They did suggest it was our fault that we didn't pre-order a vegan salad even though we had.

I don't often leave Reviews, but this was the second evening in a row at The Ship Inn whilst staying at the Premier Inn next door. The food was absolutely superb again tonight, the Christmas menu of Roast Turkey. 👍Looked after by Sarah, Ella, Jodie & Jamie (sorry if I got the last name wrong) who were all the most fantastic hosts. You could feel their warmth and joy as they looked after all their customers. What a fantastic bunch and what a credit to The Ship Inn.Back tomorrow 🙏

Lovely surroundings and staff, good food served quickly. Great choice of drinks, including a good selection of own alcohol drinks. I really rate the #Brooklyn Special Effects lager.
