Soundwell Chippy in South Gloucestershire

Just finished eating my food and decided to leave a review. The food was good definitely one of the better chippies i’ve been to, and the guy who served me was really really friendly. Nice place

Absolutely lovely staff!! And the food is amazing they even let me try some of there greek salad!! will be going bk to get a full size portion next week there menu has loads to offer to! Highly recommended 👌

They do lovely fish and chips

Completely forgot about this chippy with Mario's and others in staple hill. But this is the go to chippy food is always hot and tastes great along with the salad. A must try if you haven't been.

Would give a lower score but wouldn't let me the chips was not chips more like potatoes so undercooked, the fish tasted like it has been in the freezer for a year still with grizzle and skin and the battered sausages had half the batter missing. I rate this chippy as the worst in Bristol would highly recommend avoiding 🤢

Absolutely vile this chip shop use to be ok but has gone down hill big time waited 20 mins for just chips sausage and gravy the sausages where over cooked and had hardly no batter on them I may aswell paid for a plain sausage the chips tasted like fish and look at the gravy it's like bloody syrup needless to say wish I didn't bother as I chucked it in the bin do the right thing and drive straight past disgusting 🤢

We have been visiting the Soundwell chippy now since we moved in locally about 3 years ago. The cod is always fantastic and the chips are great, this is the simple recipe for a really good chippy. We always call in advanced as there is normally a line especially at weekends.
