The Bowl Inn in South Gloucestershire
Where is The Bowl Inn?
🏠16 Church Rd, Almondsbury, Bristol BS32 4DT
"A traditional pub and inn tucked away in the village of Almondsbury, near Bristol. Expect thick stone walls, rustic beams and cosy fires ready to roar in the winter and sunny patios for the warmer months, as well as 12 ensuite bedrooms. On the menu, hearty pub classics sit alongside stunning seasonal dishes, with a cracking selection of Butcombe beer and ale behind the bar."

I needed food and a room whilst nearby and found this lovely gem! Food was delicious and the room was quiet, clean and perfect! Such lovely people who run this fab pub too! Breakfast was gorgeous! Highly recommend!

We absolutely love this pub! Great food for a fair price, great booze selection, great atmosphere, great decor and most of all committed and friendly staff. Fabulous village location and gorgeous sun trap of a terrace out the back. The recent renovations are beautiful.

On the one hand, it's pub food. On the other hand it's done well, with nice desserts that are a cut above the ordinary. Beer's good although I thought the Butcombe Gold that I had was served a bit too cold. Still deserves the five stars though.

Stayed for one night last week, 17/3. We had travelled up from Dawlish after work so did not arrive until 7pm. Had a lovely room with patio doors out onto the rear patio area which was lovely. Can't fault the room and the bed was great.Had a meal and a few pints in the bar which I can't fault either. And after a grand night's sleep got a full English the next morning before we travelled to Brigend for work. All in all a lovely little pub in a fantastic village location. Plenty of parking, great room, great food, and great staff. Will be returning when next in the area.

Lovely pub went for a Sunday Lunch with friends food was very good but was very disappointed when the bowl of cauliflower cheese came out it was the size for 2 people not 4 when we asked if it was definitely for 4 people she said yes we complained out came another that was the size of a single portion. Don't think we will be back as some of the staff were very rude.

Bloody lovely. We got here early on a random Thursday but few tables left for reservations; which tells me this place is popular.Lovely friendly service, super tasty food with good choices and fabulous decor and ambience. Will look forward to returning after their refurbishment, will be excited to see the changes.

We stayed at the Bowl Inn for one night. It was in a great location. The dinner menu was excellent and the food define, such a lovely atmosphere inside the inn. We had a nice cosy room on the ground floor. Nothing too complain about. Breakfast was awesome and the price overall very very reasonable. We'll definitely visit again.

Location is ideal just off the motorway. A lovely pub in an amazing setting . We’ve stayed here several times to break out Tavistock to Liverpool journey . Staff were fantastic and the drinks and food was superb. Room was as expected for the price. Tea and coffee making facilities were better than elsewhere . Bathroom was staggeringly hot and we couldn’t open the french windows . There was a drain smell in our room .however, we will come again and continue to recommend the place . The new lady who served us most was a credit to the place . They need to get some brown sauce though and maybe put some fruit juice on the menu .

We stayed at the Bowl Inn last weekend for 2 nights- what a little gem!!! The staff and service was outstanding, the food exceptional. All food locally sourced, and full English breakfast was gorgeous. Our room was a little "tired" but they are due for an upgrade. Toiletries all included, lovely big towels and complimentary tea and coffee- and homemade shortbread the first night! Parking just outside- which is free once you register in the pub. So convenient for the Wave just down the road. Highly recommend
