The Butcher's Hook in South Gloucestershire

I really like this pub with a great range of drinks. However recent visits have been spoiled by very loud music in all the rooms. It would be great if one room was music free for people who want to talk.

The only decent pub in Thornbury. Long may it continue to trade and offer interesting ales.

Staff are friendly and knowledgeable - they're able to recommend a pint that'll suit you and are happy to chew the cud. Personally love that they have a piano that's free to play in the back room!

It's a real ale and cider venue. Lots of choice. 👍🙂🍻Some limited food choices for those who want it. A must visit for drinkers.

Oh my word! This place is wonderful! A fantastic range of real ales, including a really nice alcohol free ale (tinned). Great vibe & atmosphere with friendly staff. Next time I'm in town I will definitely return! 10/10.

Great selection of beer and some ciders. Liked old building. Sat by fire. Given taste of beer before ordering. Bar staff seemed to know their beers.

Excellent range of ales. Plenty of the Landlords own Tileys brew and a wide selection of local ish guest ales. No music just good ale in a very nice place. And great entertainment if you sit in the window watching the dodgy parallel parking 😊

Excellent pub serving a good selection of beer and cider. They have cheese tasting boards and some snacks. They have frequent events including live music and cheese club. A firm favourite!

great beer! even found one my non beer drinking wife liked. the cheese boards and pork pies are amazing definitely have them if you visit. the place is quirky lots of old building features plenty of seating, log burners, table top skittes and a game called shove. the staff were welcoming and helpful and if your passing pick up a news letter they have great events going on from live music to cheese and beer tasting to beer school with FREE BEER! Very recommended pop on for a pint or two and don't forget the cheese.
