Lovely find on way to Bath. Attentive staff, nice atmosphere and great food. It was great to see menu, with not only main lunches but also light lunches. Perfect. Allotment wrap was gorgeous, as was soup and sandwich.

Everything a pub and place to stay should be. Staff are friendly, welcoming and efficient. Butcombe beers excellent as always! The food offering very good on the dinner and breakfast front. Always a good sign when the ingredients are sourced locally wherever possible. Definitely worth checking out.

Lovely little place with spacious clean rooms. Staff are very friendly and food was excellent. Dog friendly which was great, only down side was there were no streetlights or footpath on the surrounding roads which made it difficult walking dog at night. Would definitely stay again.

We had a lovely stay. the room was clean and pleasant with the most comfortable bed my husband has every slept in - I had to stop him from loading it into the car!!!! The staff were very obliging when my son arrived late for his meal, despite the kitchen being closed they kept his dinner warm and served it when he arrived without comment. And it was delicious. In the morning the breakfast was great eggs benedict and avocado toast with poached eggs and the manager gave us suggestions for locations to visit in the area, chatting knowledgable about bath and even left the laptop with us, so that we could research for ourselves. A warm welcome and a delightful stay. We feel relaxed and content and very full!

Went in on a Sunday afternoon for the chance of a table for 3, no problem for the staff. We all ordered a Sunday roast and were amazed how good the food was. Arrived promptly as did our drinks. Our waitress was excellent as were the other members of staff.Wouldn't hesitate to recommend and to go again. Top marks for the Crown Inn.

Lovely little place with delicious food. Stopped there on our way back from a trip to Bath and were very grateful they found us a table even though we hadn't booked. Staff were very attentive and polite and our food was served quickly. Wish I had room for a pudding! The food is a little pricey, but that was expected and thankfully we had a discount voucher. :)

Shame I am putting a 3 star review as the Sunday lunch was incredible the gravy to die for - but the wait for desserts were just to long and the crumble and custards although brought to the table in small cast iron pots were stone cold and very disappointing- the waitress I spoke to was a little dismissive at first which I felt was rude. Although we were grateful that the 3 desserts weren’t charged for, we happily paid the service charge.

Pulled in to their car park to wait for 20 minutes on Boxing Day whilst the place was completely deserted. Just got a ÂŁ100 parking fine through the post as they contract a parking firm with CCTV and NPR to fine anyone that enters. I'll pay of course, I shouldn't have stopped there and I'm at fault, but wow what a nasty approach. I've been in a couple of times in the past, and even once recommended to others as a place to eat, but can't see myself doing this again.
