The Hollow Tree in South Gloucestershire

We ate here on Sunday, and we didn't have to wait long but now we understood why, the potatoes were like a wet sponge, the stuffing was rock solid, our meat was full of fat. We have been previously before and enjoyed it here last year, but this was something else. Really disappointed and its put me off coming back.

We had booked a group of table a few weeks prior, this was so we could have a family birthday gathering. Unfortunately there was a mix up on the booking system and our booking was not visible in the new tool being used. However, the manager sorted us out with an area with some tables and all worked out really well.Food (pizzas, chips, nacho’s and sweet potato fries.) was fresh and hot and went down really well.Drinks and service were excellent.Big thank you to all on duty as it did get quite busy and they seemed to cope really well.

Great food, reasonably priced and quick service

The Hollow tree has plenty of parking available with outside and inside seating. Comprehensive menu which would marry up with Wetherspoons. Fair price for food and drink.Live sports available in the bar area. A wide range of drinks available the bar.Accessible, card and cash payments and offer vegetarian and vegan options.

Great place for some food and drinks. Wide variety of both to choose from and cater well for someone with allergies. Prices are great and staff are super friendly and helpful. Can't fault them. Thanks!

Had a warm welcome into this pub, the staff were amazing and friendly, and the home made pizzas are highly recommended, me and my partner had the pepperoni and Smokey BBQ which we’re authentically cooked in a pizza oven. We would highly recommend this place.

The staff are exceptional - best in any pub in the locality. Always a warm welcome, very efficient service and it's great that the staff remember what drinks we have and how we like them served. The cleanliness of the pub (and facilities) is second to none in the area. Warm and welcoming. A great experience and would highly recommend.

I’ve been coming to the Hollowtree for a while now and even though it took a dip in the friendly atmosphere for a few weeks the recent change has made the amazing atmosphere return, Kane and his staff are amazing, always welcoming and smiling.

Didn't like the fact we were disturbed on our table by a member of staff asking us to leave a review as management 'wanted us to'. This should be our choice. We ate our dinner and asked a couple of times for someone to clear the table but ended up doing it ourselves. Meal was lovely however cheese and biscuits had items missing from the plate which we had to get our money back for. Overall good service.

Stopped en route to Devon - as an alternative to motorway service station, sadly not great - food took approx 45 minutes to arrive (a Sandwich). The ciabatta roll had to be bread as they had run out of so many things. The food wasn’t great, chicken was dry, my husband found the 1 bit of bacon “finally” in his club sandwich…. Salad involved watery lettuce and a few bits of tomato. Disappointing 🙁
