Brilliant pub, great food and lovely atmosphere.

·

Lovely pub. Especially the sunday roast and the fish and chips from the main menu, we always try and stop in when passing by.

We went to Bath for the weekend and found this on booking.com 20/30 mims away from Bath depending on the traffic. We are glad we stayed here as the room was very cosy with bottled water and tea and coffee and we had a meal at the lord nelson and it was delicious delicious homemade pie and homemade chips and a homemade burger. We was very impressed, great customer service also. Just lost 5 stars as the room was quite cold, didnt seem to heat up and our neighbours were quite noisy.

I visited this pub with friends for a late Sunday lunch. Street parking was a bit tricky nearby but we eventually found a spot. The menu was somewhat limited with a small selection of starters and desserts but the main roast choices were plentiful. It was a bit chilly inside on a cool November morning. I had to put my coat over my shoulders. The food was large portions when it arrived with limited selection of vegetables. We all decided there was no room for desserts after the large main courses.Frankly I think there are better places around.

Had a roast, food wasn't hot, tough potatos, spicy, son couldn't eat it as was too spicy, gran couldn't finish her food as went cold too quickly.Spoke to the landlord and he didn't seem to care and no apology. In the end after complaining again to the bar staff the waitress took a drink off each

First visit to this pub. Ordered the nut roast. Really impressed...tasted real good. The Yorkshire pud that came with it and likewise the veggie gravy were delicious. Generous portion too. Would recommend a visit.

We took my dad here for lunch on his birthday. Having only been before for their carvery lunch on a Sunday we were very pleasantly surprised to really see what the chef could produce. The food was nothing short of excellent! Forgot to take pics of the mains - the pies and fish & chips are to die for - but did remember the desserts. At £120 ish for 6 people including drinks and a bottle of wine i thought it good value to be honest especially when considering the quality!
