A very friendly place for eating or drinking. On a recent visit I had a pizza and some friends of mine had a chicken curry. I also enjoyed a game of skittles and the large screen television.Mark and Julie and staff do everything possible to make you welcome it is a place I would recommend to anybody wanting hospitality and a good drink.

Went last night. Friday night, very busy and I understand the staff were under pressure. I’ve worked in pubs like this before. I was sympathetic for the first half hour stood at the bar, but as I watched at least 5 people who had come up to the bar not a couple minutes prior were being served before us as we were actively ignored.Eventually I resorted to putting my hand up and begging for service, ignored for another ten minutes before a bartender snapped “Doing that isn’t going to make us f-ing serve you.”So, I put my hand down. Waited another ten minutes quietly hopeful. Ignored, ignored, ignored. After an hour, my Friend and I decided to just leave, disappointed at not getting to drink but also Glad we hadn’t put any money into this establishment.I’m sure this place is very nice, and the workers were under pressure but I don’t think I did anything that warranted that kind of response - or lack of.

Two excellent meals in a very friendly pub. Very good value for money. We were surprised it was so empty in the restaurant, particularly as we had eaten here a month previously and the food on that occasion was equally as good. A hidden treasure.
