The Swan at Tytherington in South Gloucestershire

We had my dad's birthday party here. Nikki and her team made us very welcome and bent over backwards to accommodate us, they were absolutely amazing! The venue was lovely and suited our party of 40 perfectly. Everyone agreed that the food was outstanding. All in all we couldn't fault our visit. Thank you all!!

I recently booked a table for a large party (16 of us) on 16/4/22. The staff were absolutely amazing, so efficient and accommodating and friendly. The quality and choice of food was brilliant, delicious and catered for us all including those of us that are vegan and gluten free. I cannot recommend them enough, do yourself a favour and book a table here if you want quality, value for money and customer service x

We had lunch at the Swan. If you plan to visit I recommend you book a table in the main bar area. When we arrived this was full so we had to sit, by ourselves, in a smaller room by the entrance. This was a bit dull and lacking in atmosphere. Luckily, a bit later a couple from the main bar left which meant we could move. The slight inconvenience was worth it as the food and drink was as excellent and good value. Service was good and friendly.

On arrival for a Sunday lunch having driven for 2 hours the reservation for the group in front of us could not be found, they were squeezed in. Our reservation could then not be found and we were offered 2 sofas with no table. The woman in charge was calling us by a completely different name (3 times) and was making no sense. They had already restricted us when booking to a 2 hour slot and the dithering about the booking was eating into our ‘allowance’. We have eating there once before and it is not a place we would overly recommend, but now we will not return and would dissuade anyone from planning to eat at the Swan.

We love this pub but we were a little disappointed last night. It was a rearranged visit from before Christmas that was was cancelled because of a lack of LPG. We rescheduled our visit with friends who had booked the Swan on our recommendation. On ordering our drinks it seemed like nearly 20 minutes before they arrived! They were sat on the bar but nobody wanted to bring them over!! It would have been a nice gesture due to late cancellation of visit before Christmas for the owner to have brought them over and said sorry for the late cancellation but thanks for rearranging your visit. It would have been easy to just get our money back.Food was good but getting drinks once the meal was eaten not so easy. It was probably about 10.30 when we called the waitress over and she immediately said do you want the bill!! No we were out with friends for the evening and wanted another drink. She obliged. It seemed that you wanted us to go and was the same situation as a table of 8. They went to the bar to get some service and again were asked if they wanted the bill. They also wanted drinks..In the end the bill was delivered without us even asking., There were people at the bar drinking so didn’t understand the rush.We will come back if allowed but made us think!!

Lovely country pub with outstanding food. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Fast service aswell. I had the beef brisket burger..outstanding! One of the best burgers I've ever eaten, and the onion rings are fabulous. Definitely recommend a trip here. Thank you.

Brilliant food and service. We stopped by on our way to Weston a few weeks ago and the food was so good, we immediately booked ourselves in for a Sunday roast on the way home! Lovely venue and the staff were very friendly. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely pub, great food and good value for money. Only thing I will say is the service wasn't amazing, but everyone was very friendly :) there was some weird smell at times due to pipework but that is being fixed and it wasn't too noticeable most of the time. Got the bread as a starter and lasagna as a main and they were both very nice meals, would definitely go again.

The food here absolutely brilliant, one of the best pub meals I’ve ever had ! We had the duck special which was so gorgeous ! Lovely atmosphere, staff were friendly and polite ! Would highly recommend if you are in the area !
