The Willy Wicket in South Gloucestershire

Richard and his staff made us extremely welcome on Saturday lunchtime and nothing was too much bother for our (pre-booked) party of 23. Food was served in an orderly and timely fashion and there were no complaints about our fare. The need to register your car number plate was well signed and so I am surprised other people have missed this. My family and I could not fault the service and welcome that we received, which made for pleasant family gathering in honour of my late father.

Visited today was very nice experience the food was excellent and the setting was comfortable with an open fire the staff were helpful pleasant and very friendly

Enjoyed our meal. I had a burger which was lovely and my wife had a pizza, the base was really good but there was rather a bit too much tomato paste, but that's only me being picky

Good food only down fall was the service from clearing plates, think we waited 30 mins. They looked short on staff that day, but would go there again and I would recommend. They done well with a bad situation.

Had a fantastic anniversary meal in this fabulous place. The food was absolutely amazing, the waitress was friendly and efficient. The prices were as expected. It wasn't too busy which was nice. We will definitely return.

Great pub, interior is lovely and cosy, lots of well thought out areas for food and drinks. Staff were attentive and welcoming and the food was excellent. Good value and portion sizes were generous. Would recommend the triple cooked chips!

A beautiful homely pub feel. Amazing menu and food quality. Never had a bad experience here.If you're lucky, a bottle of red in a comfy chair by the fire cannot be beaten.

First time visit and I was not disappointed.The staff were super friendly and helpful, they were attentive and welcoming and they couldn't do enough for our table.The food was top notch. I had the hunters chicken schnitzel and it was delicious, couldn't fault it.The food and drink was reasonably priced.The decor was lovely, with open wood burning fires. It felt very warm, welcoming and homely on a rainy evening.Perfect, can't wait to visit again.

Stopped there briefly for something light to eat on a Sunday evening and also to get out of the heat. Ionly had the wild caught tempura prawns but can honestly say they were amazing. Presentation was excellent and cooked perfectly. The soy chilli and lime sauce was fantastic, though not hot at all and would never had known it had any chlli in it....more ginger tasting but the combination was brilliant.If only judging by the starter i would definitely recommend the willy wicket. Staff were attentive and polite too.

Had a very nice meal with my family here. Started with calamari which was coated with a chorizo seasoning. Followed by the cod loin, the fish was a small portion unfortunately, I'd have liked a larger piece but what was on my plate was tasty. We finished with a sticky toffee pudding and an apple and rhubarb crumble.
