Bayards Cove Inn Restaurant Dartmouth in South Hams

Breakfast excellent, poor outlook, water pressure for shower variable, restaurant seems expensive, staff polite and helpful. Car parking is a nightmare.

Me and my husband had two wonderful days on 21st March and 22nd March 2022 staying at the Bayards Cove Inn, Dartmouth. The room we booked was the Nelson Family Suite with sea view. It did not disappoint it was beautiful. The staff were very attentive and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely pub, had a great lunch (Koftas were delicious, decent chips), very friendly and accommodating staff. #dogFriendly too!

Wonderful way to celebrate a birthday. Excellent service and food. Most fabulous brownies. Scrumptious smoked haddock fishcakes, glorious fresh sea bass, fish and chips yummy, and lovely lamb kofta.

We have just had a perfect night away. The team are so friendly and offer everything you could possibly want.our room was just out of this world amazing, we walked in and just smiled from ear to ear. we stayed in the Nelson suite and it is like a little maze! as two fully grown adults we had lots of fun.so many personal touches in the room, including a crab line and bucket which we used straight away regardless of it being January.The food in the restaurant was just stunning, some of the best food we have had in a long time. you must try the burger!!!!

This is by far one of the best places we have stayed. Dog friendly to another level and staff who we should be proud of. We stayed for a couple of nights and could have moved in. The bed and room was super comfy. There was a massive dog bed all clean and ready for my lovely old dog, dog bowls, treats and bags all waiting for us. The shower room was brilliant with great toiletries and nice hot shower. Beautiful exposed architecture and lovely roaring fire and sofa downstairs in the bar. We got very wet while out walking and the staff took our things and dried them for us without us having to ask, so thoughtful. Breakfast was 10/10 and I have never given a 10 before. We will be back over and over again!

Lovely atmosphere. Great food and service. Steak that melts in your mouth! Twinkly lights at Christmas made it feel warm and welcoming.

Stayed in the Nelson Suite , lovely decorated and furnished rooms with many little homely extras. Breakfast was delicious ,lots of choice. Staff very attentive.Will definitely be staying again.Thank you for a fantastic stay

We had a superb lunch here last Saturday. I particularly liked the decor which is a subtle mix of maritime-themed colours. It's very popular so best arrive early to get a table.We had the fish and chips, a simple meal meal made special by salads and other items.

Ancient pub that despite having up-to-date decor stills retains its charm with rough stone walls and beams. We had a vegetarian meal here - pea and mint pasta with pesto and salad - very nice, large helping. More vegetarian choices would make this place perfect!
