I visited today. What can I say, absolutely lovely place to visit. The staff were friendly and the cream tea was amazing. 5 stars do not do you justice. I would highly recommend this to anyone who was looking for the perfect Devonshire cream tea. You have set a very high benchmark.

Very nice place in a lovely area of small shops. Good atmosphere and very pleasant, efficient staff. Good food and service. There's an outside area and there's also a pleasant walk along the river.

Stunning cream tea and plenty of cream and jam. Lovely play area to keep children occupied and lovely lunches there. Recommend highly

Although they have bigger rooms, our room was a little cramped. But it terms of the friendliness of the staff and the quality of the food I could not fault it. And extremely well placed within Dartmouth.

A truly lovely restaurant with a few rooms. Very good friendly professional service, a comfy room and a really great breakfast. A room on the front gets you a view of the estuary with the lower ferry to Kingswear just below. We dined here twice during our 4 day stay - both meals were excellent. All the staff were excellent and very welcoming. We’ll go again. Highly recommended.

A fantastic Sunday evening meal. Our daughter , who is vegan, enjoyed her meal every much as we enjoyed ours. The staff were terrific too! Nothing was too much trouble. It all went to make a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Thank you.

We were welcomed immediately and, as we were early for our table and two of our party had not yet arrived, were shown to comfortable chairs to order pre meal drinks. When at our table the service, food and drinks were of very high quality and standard. The staff went above and beyond to look after us. Very highly recommended venue.

Great location, parking a bit of a lottery but free street parking this time of year helps.Room was nice, spacious and clean, just a shame it was right next to the store cupboard. We could hear the staff chatting just outside our door several times during our stay.We had a disappointing meal on our last night, having said that we were not charged for the dish in question and given a complimentary cheese board. This was all handled very professionally by the Front of house. All in all enjoyed out stay and the breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice.

Very little choice in milk, only cows or oat so for a gluten free and dairy intolerant person the options weren't suitable. But staff were friendly and accommodating to solve issues and check ingredients. Did provide a gluten free menu too

We turned up without a booking and had a great meal here. Fabulous soup and the chowder was excellent - both presented beautifully. The waitress was very friendly and general atmosphere was lovely. Would definitely eat here again when we next visit.
