The food was very nice although on the steeper side. The lady behind the bar couldn't have had more of an attitude problem if she tried. Which let it down.

Seafood chowder was one piece of fish, too many mussels for this dish in a sauce which was quite pleasant. This was followed by the local mussels main dish; they were enjoyable.Had I known that the soup would contain a large number of mussels, I would have chosen a different main course.

Poor service. Booked for 7:30, sat and waited for someone to notice us, our table was ignored while everyone around us was being served or cleared. At 7:55 we we're asked if we wanted any drinks, we said we were ready to order food as well. I'll get the drinks first and order after. I asked if there was a problem in the kitchen, I was told no. I explained that we were ignored and then was told that they were short staffed. I would have understood that but you can't ignore us and not offer even a drink but then have time to serve the other tables. The comment that got to me was " so do you want a drink then !?". I had the fish bap from the take away instead, that was delicious.

Located in the Seaside inlet town of Salcombe, the restaurant has a great fish menu with daily specials, along with several meat and vegetarian dishes. We had the mussels, and baked Camembert starters, followed by Scallops, ribs and one of the daily specials Monkfish. The chips were the only item I would improve, as they were rather dry and lacking in taste.

Fantastic friendly pub with a large outside seating area overlooking the harbour. Really good drink and food selection and warm and friendly staff. Highly recommended

Really impressed with this place. Friendly staff and amazing food. Prawn sandwich was delicious along with the steak roll and the chips were very crisp and tasty. Will always eat here when in salcombe.

Service was slow but the food was great. Ordered the steak of the day and was cooked perfectly. Generous portions. Overlooks the bay.

On a really busy day in Salcombe, we found this place just by chance, took the only table available , with sea view.Service outstanding really, the guys were so friendly , polite , and fast serving a hoard of clients. We had a seafood platter in no time , absolutely delicious, ment to be for two but we shared three and it was plenty.Planning already the next trip, at least for the seafood, most of it locally sourced. And more than reasonable priced for such quality . Many thanks!

Nice pub with friendly staff in the centre of Salcombe, dropping in is always a must when I'm in town. Food is nice and enjoyable but I'm yet to be blown away by a meal here. Good drinks selection and nice outdoor space.
