Just popped in as I was in the area to try out their cheesy chips after a recommendation from a friend. I wasn't disappointed, a fair portion definitely filled me up,delicious crispy chips (not fat filled soggy ones)topped with a generous helping of cheese. Check the photo.

Fabulous 2hr lunch at Britannia today. Crab cakes and calamari to start followed by this plateful of yummy fish and seafood for mains. We managed to squeeze in pudding too! Great, relaxed service too.

We had a lovely dinner at Britannia. A very friendly staff helped us with a great choice of meals. Sea food was fresh and delicious, with desert to come back to.

Amazing morning walking from Start Point to Beesands - topped off with a yummy al fresco lunch (in February) from Britannia @ The Beach. Scrumptious baps and such helpful and friendly staff. Made our day - thank you Guys! ** Best ever fish finger bap + all trimmings **

Takeaway Review: Arrived at 7:20 on Wed - Last orders at 8:15. Basic fare - the Crab was off the menu so mostly scampi/fish/sausage/chicken nuggets and chips. Nothing special - but not bad either. It was made special by eating outdoors by the relaxing noise of the sea a few meters away. Nice that we could bring our own drinks. BeeSands a bit of a mission to get to, but that means not so busy (at times). Gets cold quickly when the sun goes so bring warm clothes/coats/blankets or go before the sunset (6pm ISH in Sep).

A gorgeous mix of classic British food with fun twists. The homemade tartare sauce was a real treat. Definitely the most luxurious fish and chips on the beach I’ve ever had.

I'm super reluctant to leave a positive review here in case other people find out about it. The **BEST** seafood I've ever had in my life. It's not swanky dining; you can park your bum on a wooden bench and be pleased about it! The super fresh food, and for that matter the view out to sea, more than makes up for the lack of candelabras. If I could take away a star (and I won't) it would be for the perilous journey there along single track roads so narrow and poorly marked that rolling a stone down one would kick off Indiana Jones's PTSD. Try the scallops and thank me later.

On our recent holiday to Devon we visited Britannia at the Beach several times as the food was just so good. Whether we had seafood, burgers, or just an ice cream the food was outstanding every time. The staff that we spoke to were all friendly and helpful too. Britannia was easily the best place to eat of all those we tried in the area, so it's a huge thumbs up from me. We'll be back!

Recently bought two cooked lobster from Anita up at the Vivers - they were very tender, tasty & absolutely delicious in my homemade Thermidor sauce! Anita could not have been more helpful, and the lobster were cooked perfectly - well worth the money for a Bank Holiday treat. Highly recommended.

Delicious food!!! We had mussels, crevettes, and deep fried scallops followed by hake goujons and crab and lobster arincini balls!!! Its byob, decent sized portions and reasonably priced! Need to book a table as it gets full quick!
