The manageress was extremely polite and helpful in fitting us in. The food had decent portions and tasty. Would definitely recommend, but maybe book ahead.

Stunning country pub with excellent food. We stayed for 3 days and the owners couldn't have been more friendly. Breakfast hit the spot and there was great variety. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean while fitting in with the pub aesthetic. We will be staying again

Amazing pub full of period features and character. The food is outstanding - excellent quality, something for everyone on the menu and cooked fresh. Rooms feel newly renovated, are comfortable and beautifully designed. Can’t wait to stay again.

We booked the restaurant for a large family gathering. Everything was excellent, the food was delicious. We were all impressed.

A wonderful week away. Our room was very well furnished and a lovely big bed too. The food and service were exceptional. We would highly recommend the Inn to anyone. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Got to be honest. We had high expectations, having read previous reviews and looked at the menu before we booked. We were looking forward to some nice seafood but given that it is just after christmas, they can be forgiven for not having much available. The bar area is lovely and welcoming.From there it all went a bit pear shaped really. My wife had a steak pie. This was unfortunately mostly very salty pastry. The filling was found to be very dry, and went mostly uneaten. My plaice was OK but was drowned by butter and would have benefitted from a sauce. We felt a bit let down by the service too. No one came over and asked if all was OK. We had to ask for salt and pepper and more drinks. The staff didn't seem to know what was on the menu either, both servers had to check and re check the main ingredients in the fish soup, tagliatelle etc. 🙁

Lovely pub. Great food, very nice ambiance.We stayed in a friend's cottage just down the road from here and and had dinner both nights we were staying there.Very nice food, very friendly staff, nice beer ... all you can ask for to relax in a pub!

Lovely pub, great food and fantastic hosts. Good beers. Room was on the small side, but still very nice. Churchstow is a little bit isolated so definitely need to travel to other places of interest.

We have been here a few times this year and the food and service are always great. Good selection of ales and the Tribute is served with a delicious creamy head. Fish and chips are very tasty and the Burger is also very good. They have a number of different seating areas from outside covered tables to cozy nooks by the fire. A great stop in the South Hams.
