Delphini's Gelato in South Hams

Tip for the uninitiated: avoid ice cream parlours with blue ice cream on offer. This was the only place in four days of exploring Devon that passed that test, offering real, proper Italian-style gelato. In countries that are stronger on ice cream, such as Italy, Greece and Poland, this place would be considered fine if unexceptional, but by local standards it’s great. I found their pistachio relatively weak, but their liquorice was superb, as was their amarena. Service very warm and friendly.

The best ice cream in the South Hams…..totally worth a visit. The staff were super friendly too : )

Flavours are absolutely on point, esspecialy the tiramisu and cherry (not sure about combining them though). The staff are also super friendly and welcoming

The best gelato ever! A must-visit when in Totnes. Could taste fresh cherry and the pistachio was flavour-loaded. Delicious 👍Highlight of my day - will be back. 👍

We are annual visitors to Totnes and we love stopping in at Delphini’s for gelato whenever we’re on the high street. They always have a great selection of delicious fresh ice cream, and friendly staff serving it.
Tip: If the sun is out, we like to walk around the corner to eat it in the quiet church garden!

Very nice. Would highly recommend. Three of us had light Belgian chocolate, salted caramel and blue unicorn or Totnes flavours. All delicious.

Been staying in South Devon for 10 days and sampled A LOT of ice cream, this was by far the best! Went back for more on our final day, all flavours sampled were amazing and service was brilliant everytime, regardless of the queue always being down the road! Definitely recommend 👌

Really rather wonderful gelato. Really high quality, it makes a change from the dime a dozen clotted cream local ice cream brands. It’s great to have them in Totnes!Honestly - go for the hazelnut. It literally tasted like freshly blended hazelnuts, deep flavour, so delicious.

This is a gem on the Totnes high street with incredibly tasty gelato made daily. My favourite flavours are Tiramisu, and Raspberry sorbet in the charcoal cone. Not to be missed on your trip to Totnes!

Ice cream blew my mind. Frankly, you may think "how different can an ice cream be...?" The answer is: very different. Had the pistachio and fior di latte in the chocolate cone. Best ice cream ever. And I've spent years working in Italy (Lake Como, Milan etc). Just go. I promise it will be amazing
