Ferry Inn in South Hams

Really nice pub with great views, but TEN POUNDS for a glass of wine, even SIX QUID for a pint of fosters, FOSTERS. I don’t know if it’s because I’m from Yorkshire but I nearly collapsed when I heard the prices. Really nice pub tho

Brilliant location with brilliant staff. Just down a few steps hidden from view.The food looked amazing and was being eaten enthusiastically by all who were ordering. Nothing was being left either.There is an upstairs indoor area (allowing amazing views) and a downstairs indoor area both containing a bar, the larger bar is downstairs.There is also a large beer garden, which is accessible via some steep steps, with plenty of large benches and allowing you some outstanding views across to the other side of the estuary.There is a great choice of drinks with a choice of 3 Ales by Palmers so this is something different.There is also lager cider and other drinks available spirits wines etc.An absolutely fantastic place to visit in Salcombe.When in Salcombe you should certainly visit The Ferry Inn.

Beautiful sunny morning - fantastic seating area overlooking the estuary. Only one other couple there. We sat down and I went in to order a coffee. Two staff behind the bar - “Sorry, we’ve been let down by a member of staff so we can’t make any hot drinks today - not enough staff.” Incredible - and completely useless. Went to “The Wardroom” nearby. They had two staff and were able to provide lovely coffee and bacon sandwiches!

Friendly little pub. The staff were lovely and the food delicious, and amazing views. They had a good little box of games too. Would definitely recommend if you're in salcombe looking for a relaxed meal or drink!

What a great find. We were given such a lovely welcome by staff here. Great food, clean toilets and lots of outside seating overlooking the water. Definitely worth a visit.

Lovely views, very expensive for what you get. Barman stated it was due to it being a rented pub, where landlords regularly increased rent on them. But good cider on tap, seems like a good place to dine at a price

Great on tap Ales, staff super friendly, funny and efficient. Very happy! We popped in on a stroll and ended up popping in on the way back too! Stunning views. Would recommend

Not recommended for families. No high chairs. People smoking next to us. Food was only OK at best. Had to wait just over 30 mins for an open ham sandwich. Didn’t know it was open (was for the kids) so asked for another slice of bread. Was told to queue up again and order at the bar. £7.50 for half a ham sandwich that took half an hour. Crab “sandwich” equally sad looking. Yes the view is great, but that doesn’t make up for the limited menu, slow and poor service and only adequate food. If you have both money and time to burn, come here and enjoy the view. Otherwise, go elsewhere.Salad was nice though.

Really lovely atmosphere, very busy and despite being short staffed the staff were lovely and really accommodating. Not a long wait at all even though they managed our expectations that it could be a delay. King prawns were delicious!

Staff very welcoming and friendly. Fantastic settings. Slight wait for food, but who cares when there's a view over the river and beach.
