Super food, superb service, superb location, fantastic to have an independent with such standards in Totnes.

I bought lamb and mint pasty and slice of cake, couldn't fault either, full of flavour, general Totnes pricing, when in Rome.

Great food and friendly service. Great location in the square, especially for cyclist.

Food for thought is set on a broad, leafy street and has outdoor seating. We had a very tasty pasty, and very acceptable tea and coffee. The staff were cheerful and helpful.

Nice coffee and cake. Should leave more space on the pavement for people to pass by rather than fill it up with tables & chairs.

Vegan sausage rolls were very tasty, had two of them and enjoyed it a lot. Noticed that a sandwich we got had a bit of mold on but we understand these things happen so we took it back in and the lady was very apologetic and replaced the sandwich. She informed other staff to keep an eye out for any more mold. We then got some ice creams which she didn't let us pay for because of the inconvenience. Such a lovely lady, will definitely be coming back next time we're in Totnes.

Welcoming and delightful little delicatessen. Arguably one of the best sausage rolls I've ever eaten and the Cornish raspberry ice cream is something else.

Used to be much better. It's amazing how they manage to be dry AND greasy all at once. Avoid the bhaji, just chilli powder hot, no flavour. Veggie scotch egg is too much sausmix and a tiny egg. Was the best bakery in Totnes, now basking in old glories. The cakes still look ok, but didn't venture into them.

We often stop here for a pasty or quick lunch. Food is ok, with a wide range of salads, pies etc. Alot is made to order so can take a while if there are a few of you. No seating inside, but a few tables outside and plenty of places to sit nearby.
